Sportsmans Resort North & South — Hotel in Hickman

Amazing Fishing Trip!! My husband and I just enjoyed a 3 day 3 night fishing package at Sportsman's Lodge North. We had a great time, caught lots of bluegill, and enjoyed the company of the friendly owners as well as other visitors. Caught the biggest bluegill of my life there! Don't go expecting a 5 star resort. It IS a fishing lodge. But it is right on the lake, and has everything needed for a wonderful fishing trip. A small cozy cabin, with a front porch view of the lake. Sat and watched the squirrels and hummingbirds and herons from the porch. Had a small grill and a picnic table right at the cabin. We are already planning on going back next year. Talked to others who have been going there for years. 2 different sets of people told us they used to go other places on the south end, but have been coming here for the past 16 years for one group, 5 for the other. We don't plan to ever...

This is by far the worst vacation spot ever. These people also own a resort in the North part as well.. I have never in my life met anyone so rude, never a good morning or hello.No smiles either. After two days of a 6 day stay and a fire on the boat ,which by the way had no oar ,life jacket, or FIRE EXTINGUISHER, they called the law and said we "caught the boat on fire cos the fishing was bad".So UNTRUE.. it was very poor maint. and the whole resort was in code violation of several other things) we had to leave and they have almost $1000 that was never refunded back.A lawyer had to be contacted...I think they do this to ALOT of other people and thats's how they get their money to keep the resort open..By ripping people off .I just about bet money that they do not have ANY repeat customers...I wished we had just...

family trip Oct 4,5,6 2013 for craft fair, called North side. Read some bad reviews on line should have listended... i though they must be under new managment, id give them a chance. told them we needed extra bed room. they set us up in Cabin a. told them we wanted a grill they brought a grill over. Dock was nice.. asked for a fishing guide they could not recommend one. Room was below standards, lots of dead bugs in windows , sheets looked clean top sheet had not been cleaned also dead bugs shells, felt a step above camping.. . called managment they did return my call. told me they would refund my second day. we left a day early.||they seemed to have nicer areas to stay. but they were full. a play ground would be nice but mostiqos...
