ok so in Oct our group decided that we would all come for cowboy week as we heard good things about that week. One of our party had been there before so under her suggestion we all booked in oct for June. Deposit was sent and agreement was two week notice to cancel . Well my mom was in assisted living and and by Feb my mom was put on hospice. By March I knew it was going to be impossible for me to go. I called and talked to Terri. with more than two weeks before cowboy week I assumed I would be refunded most of money however with covid they changed policy. no refunds and I wasn't even offered credit. Seriously never had this experience before. So I am out all if my deposit inspire of the policy when I made original reservation. Do not make a reservation unless ur sure u can afford to lose ur money cause policy can change which I do not think legal. in fact my mom passed away on memorial day and funeral was a week later which there no way I would have been able to go as my heart was not into it. now we all know stinks with business during this virus but this was not fare.we are all hurting with this and many business are going under. If handled different we could have come up with solution. as it is Our group will never make reservations again we had one lady in our group that was killed in horse accident and didn't refund her money to her husband either. so there my story i wont be making any future...
Read moreAwful customer service and all around experience. My family I and booked a day for a beginner trail, but it was anything but that. The trail was steep and had sharp curves and was rocky and muddy everywhere. We were miserable. My horse didn’t listen at all and I got smacked into branches, jostled around, and my legs nearly got crushed between the horse and trees. Despite my struggling, the guide didn’t offer any support and instead mocked me about my skill and joked that my girlfriend would leave me, which just seemed out of nowhere. Worst of all, a deer jumped out and scared our horses. I was spun around and my mom was flung off and fell hard on her side and was crying in pain. It took nearly 30 mins for help to arrive, despite us being relatively close to the camp, and when they did the driver nearly flipped the vehicle over. The best they did for us was some painkillers and a refusal to go to the local hospital form, because my mom wanted to get X-rayed at her own hospital. Some staff seemed concerned but were slow and nonchalant about it. The owner himself spoke to us as we left and all he said was to call him when she’s better. My mom broke serval bones including her shoulder and she will never make a full recovery. If you want to go horseback riding, take your...
Read moreWhat a great trail riding facility!! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but I would caution those that have never ridden before. The pro's are that you really experience nature at its finest - no flat, level trails during my one-hour ride! The terrain can be precarious (navigating steep inclines and declines is typical) at times, so if someone has never been on a horse I would worry if it might be a bit daunting first experience (however, it is possible that they have different trails for different levels of experience - in which case, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to go there, even without any past riding experience - it is an experience you won't want to miss). The horses seem very well mannered and took it all in stride (although mine tended to have a mind of its own - lol) But if you are looking for a real trail-riding experience with friendly guides and staff - with beautiful scenery - I totally recommend this stable. The only negative that I experienced is the campsite appears to allow dogs to run at large; there were three dogs that were 'harassing' our horses until someone called them back - but the guide and the horses, again, took it all in stride. Other than that, a...
