Quadna Mountain Resort — Hotel in Hill City

My wife and I went up and stayed at Quadna with our two kids, 5 and 1. The people were super friendly at the golf course and anywhere else we ran into them. We stayed at a townhome and the accommodations were very nice!! The main lodge/chalet is closed though and appears to have been that way for some time now, and evidently the ski hill is now a gravel pit so not sure how current or when the last time they updated the website was.

The grounds crew did an awesome job though keeping the place looking super sharp and the pools super clean. It's on Hill Lake which was fun for recreation, we didn't do much fishing but had a blast boating and tubing. The lake is between 15 and 40 feet. It's a little on the weedy/mucky side depending on which shore you're on but Hill City has a well maintained gravel/sand beach by the launch, which is about a 5 min drive from Quadna.

This course is like many other courses in Northern Minnesota that are struggling with the lack of rain this season. Most fairways, tee boxes, and rough were in a dry condition. The trade off is that you can get several extra yards out of each shot even when not well struck. The greens, however, were beautiful, well maintained, and challenging. The greens definitely require you to focus on getting a good read before each putt.

Facilities could use improvement as set forth on the collection bucket next to the cash register in the club house. New facilities and more water would most likely restore this course to the beauty that it must have possessed in...

My family and I are owners of one of the townhomes here at Quadna and we wouldn't trade it for the world! It is so relaxing staying up here :) Also Hill Lake provides a wonderful experience for a relaxing day on the lake without having to worry about being in weeds the whole time, allowing the opportunity to swim/ski/tube with no problems or concerns. The golf course on the resort provides a nice 9 hole round, great for the whole family!
