I wish I could leave more than five stars!! We LOVED this place. If you’re looking for a place to get away with your man this is the perfect spot. Had we brought our kids it still would’ve been the perfect spot. We were less than 10 miles from Mount Rushmore. The owner was very helpful, and friendly. Our room was super clean, and it had everything we needed. There were two bedrooms with queen size beds (ours was super comfy), and it had a couch that could’ve folded out into a bed. There was a great little kitchen in it with a stove and full size refrigerator. We don’t like to eat out, so I was thrilled that it had everything we needed to cook (pots, pans, plates…even salt and pepper 😊). There was also a grill outside. We loved that there was a fire pit! There was a nice swimming pool that would’ve been great in the summer months. Each cabin was facing a different direction and each cabin had its own outside fire pit area, so we didn’t ever even see another guest. She even had a smores kit on the table for us! Highly recommend 20/10. Thank you, Carrie Ann! We had an...
Read moreGreat location and lovely setting in the mountains very close to Mt Rushmore. The "resort" is rather small with the cabins spaced fairly close together but the setting was perfectly peaceful and quiet. Everything is clean and well maintained. There are several fire pit areas and outdoor seating for relaxing. It is very close to Mt Rushmore and other Black Hills attractions and is easily accessible off highway 16.||||The owners are very friendly and responsive to any needs.||||My only minor criticism is that the shower in the Silver Moon cabin is extremely small and tight. The bathroom is roomy but larger bodied people may have a hard time using the shower. I'm 5'9 and 170lbs and the shower was a bit too small for me. ||||All in all, its is a great place to stay while in South Dakota and I definitely recommend...
Read moreThis was our second time staying in the Silver Mountain Cabins ( first time in June 2017). Both times hands down 5 stars! Cabins are cozy and have everything you need. The location is perfect with being close to attractions yet also away from the chaos of Rapid City. Our kids loved swimming in the pool (had it all to themselves), swinging on the tire horse swing and even just spending time in the cabin. If it would have rained there were games and TV but we didn’t need either. Adults were happy to just sit by the fire ring and listen to either the quiet or the wind in the trees and fire crackling. As we were driving away at the end of our visit my 10 yr old said “Bye amazing cabin that we had the best time at”. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the...
