JJ's Motel — Hotel in Hillcrest Heights

This was the worst experience I have ever had!||First off, you do not meet anyone!||Secondly, everything is done over the phone, even when getting your key to your room. It's done via lockbox. ||Once I entered my room I wanted to cry....Roaches everywhere, large ones. ||I was so creeped out I wanted to leave but after hours of driving I was so exhausted. I went to the nearest gas station and purchased Roach spray. ||The next day, I went to Walmart and purchased a broom and a mop, bleach etc. I cleaned that room as good as I could.||....The very next day I received a call from the JJ's Motel owner, yelling aggressively and over talking me. He accused me of not registering my dogs. He then hung up on me so I called him back. I tried to tell him (while he was over talking me and still aggressive) that I in fact registered my dogs. He hung up on me a second time. Then he text me to prove to him that during my communication with Brittany that I informed her of my two dogs. I forwarded the entire conversation I had with Brittany which clearly showed she knew I had two dogs. Then the owner calls me back, still talking aggressively saying that he has his entire staff on the phone. He claimed I still didn't register my dogs. I then told him that I signed whatever I was emailed from Daniel. Daniel was the only person I was able to ever speak with. She full on lied and stated that I never told her about my dogs. Nonetheless, The owner said I need to get out buy the following day. ||NOW, I will admit that I did not disclose I had a bird. I lost my house and was moving into a new house and had no where to go. I was wrong for that, but it was a situation where I was literally stuck in.||HOWEVER, AS A BUSINESS OWNER THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT THE WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED A MUCH DIFFERENT WAY! TO MISTREAT AND DISRESPECT ANYONE LIKE THAT IS UNACCEPATABLE. ||The pictures on the FB and the Website are sooo misleading. NOTHING like in person. ||I would NEVER recommend anyone to this place. The owner is NOT willing to refund me for the days...

A dangerous place. A safe haven for the criminally insane. Most of these positive reviews are completely fake, especially the no bugs one. If you need a grand theft auto style safe house, I highly recommend it. There is barely any vetting process to stay her long-term. Pit bulls are allowed to roam loose. Guests are allowed to stay up until 2:30 in the morning partying loudly. I would sooner stay at the Bates Motel or The Overlook. Room 111 looked like a former crime scene, all that was missing was a chalk outline on the bathroom floor. Bring cleaning supplies upon arrival. The floors are caked in sticky grime and it smells like pot smoke permanently. Guests are allowed to live in abject filth with NO recourse from management. No one is on-site to help. There are broken windows, faulty wiring, obviouse evidence of past fires. The windows are barred and do not open. If you doubt any of this, ask the local authorities if you should stay there. The place has a horrendous reputation for a reason. A filthy disgusting hovel, a depressing filter bin of humanity. I pray for everyone still stuck there. They have no intentions of ever paying you back your deposit. Thieves and liars with no...

We moved into this motel as it was weekly or monthly rentals and I explained to Daniel that we needed something long term for now. It was myself, my husband and my 7 year old daughter. I just enrolled her in Frost Elementary. Well, after 3 weeks Daniel called me into the office and told me I had to be out by the next day because he needed rooms for the immigrants who are coming in to farm. He legit threw my family out to rent the room to them. The Wi-Fi does not work most of the time. There is no cable. The bugs are horrible. The room we were staying in had a board on the broken window that he stated he was going to have fixed but never did. Do NOT do business with this guy! Worst experience ever!! Oh adding that when the immigrants come in, he throws the bed in a shed the is not well insulated until they leave and then puts those beds back...
