Countryside Inn — Hotel in Hillsboro

I wish I could rate this motel with -10 stars. I truly can’t believe the health department hasn’t shut this place down. We arrived very late into town, which is the only reason why we said screw it, said a prayer of protection 😂🙏 and tried to just go to bed. Both rooms were extremely dirty, smelly and run down. Everything needs to be replaced and thoroughly cleaned. The door “locks” definitely didn’t provide any sort of security. They had the tv set on 2 green treated wood beams, which should NOT be indoors and are toxic to humans. The beds were lumpy. The pillows were very old and falling apart (thankfully we brought our own) the kitchenette was so dirty and bug traps were in the cabinets. There were cobwebs in every corner. The bathroom doors wouldn’t close all the way. In one room, the toilet took a very long time to refill after flushing and the water pressure was a trickle. When turning on the heat, we immediately had to spray air freshener and perfume to cover up the odor. We would’ve been more comfortable sleeping in our car. Definitely choose a different motel when staying...

Absolutely the very worst hotel experience I've ever had ..Never have been so taken advantage of in my life... Huge mistake staying there...first room we stayed in had bugs and smelled horribly plus got quoted one price on the phone, got there and it was another...got told there was a 100$ "deposit" for our pet then checked out and was told we don't get it back.. and while I was at work my things got gone through the woman was very nosey came to the room and pretended to ask if we needed anything then as I opened the door pushed her way in the room to nose around our belongings even going as far as going through one of my bags I had open on the tablerite in front of me!! I'm calling the better business bureau on them Monday so hopefully someone can do something to get these insufferable people out of business or at least save someone from an experience like...

Absolutely one of the worst ran hotels I've ever had stayed in... takes advantage over people... takes other guests in other guests rooms while they aren't there.... walks in on you in your room regardless of time or day.... talks down to you like you are beneath her.... the man leaves his wife to run it and she is an unbearable piece of work.... fully chooses to make her own rates on whatever she feels like at that moment on her mood which is usually fowl.... don't do her job as a housekeeper or a manager of a hotel and will just make you stay and experience just awful... if this review helps and you are really looking for a place to stay..I recommend to stay as far away from this place.. if other people ran this place it could be quite a nice quiet place to stay so until other people take over ownership. Please avoid this place and these...
