Juniper Cove Marina — Hotel in Hillsboro

We camped at the RV Park at the Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove. This was one of the worse campgrounds we have ever camped in. The charge was $30.00 a night with a 3 night minimum, and although they advertise Good Sam and AAA discounts, they do not let anyone use them on the weekend. None of the sites had sewer, and the dump station was so hard to get to we could not even use it with a 35' rig. The roads to the campsite were in horrible shape with huge pot holes. The management did not limit the amount of people in each campsite so the ones around us had up to 10-15 people per campsite. The radios from the campsites were blaring with a lot of people drinking and parting until late in the night. The second night we were there we had set out our fire pit and put the wood in it (but did not light it yet) and went into the motorhome to get our steaks ready. While we were in the motorhome someone came into our camp and stole the firewood and fire starter out of our fire pit and the bundle we had next to it. Not once did we see anyone from the management drive around or check on anything the whole weekend. I had a good mind to call the health dept after my visit there.Needless to say it was a short one .The camp ground has been severely neglected ,and very run down.Hubby and I were checking out the area for retirement .We decided to drive down to the marina and campground there to see if we should rent a cabin.We both had to pee so we hopped out to use the public toilet there.This was the weekend before memorial day mind you and this place should have been spruced up and ready for the seasons business already. I will try not gross anyone out here so I will just say that there was absolutely no paper or soap products in either bathroom. The toilet looked like it hadn't been flushed in a yr.The place was beyond old filth ..the odor was nauseating .Even human waste was all over and running down the outside of the toilet..I wont go any further..the place was disgraceful .Hubby said that his bathroom was just as bad if not worse.If I were a neighbor I would take up a petition with the neighbors or call someone to have them clean that place up.That is a reflection to the lake and on the...

If there was a zero star, that’s what this place would be. Stayed 9/17-19/21 at RV and my son/family had 1 room cabin. Took us over an hour to level our RV. The RV sites need a lot of work! Sites either have 30 or 50 amp not both. We moved because there was not 1 tree in the site we assigned. Bathroom was ok. Door was screen with latch. The cabins bed was beyond nasty! Stains and torn sheets. So dirty we pray it’s not bed bugs!! Comes with bed/bedding, bunk beds placed in like closet area and futon in living area, small kitchen table, stove, refrigerator, microwave and trash can/bag. No pillows, towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies. Way too expensive for what you get. No info on website to know this. Had to hunt for a dumpster. On positive, people are friendly and...
