Our experience at Snake River Cabins & RV Village was shocking and extremely stressful. On our way there, both of our RV’s rear wheels literally came off while driving at highway speed. We were stranded on the side of the road, in contact with management the entire time, and trying to safely make alternate arrangements. Management suggested, “We are 100% full, so a cabin is not an option. If you have a tent, you could certainly pitch the tent on your RV site. I hope you can make it work.” Following that, we put our RV in storage, rented vehicles, and gathered the necessities—all at our own expense—just to follow their instructions and begin work as planned. We arrived, set up our tent, and were ready to start our jobs. Thirty minutes before our first shift, we were abruptly told we could no longer work there, and were told, “We are running a business, not a charity.” No alternatives, no discussion, and no compensation for lost wages or travel costs. This caused significant financial hardship and emotional stress. To add, their 15-year-old granddaughter was allowed to work out of a proper tent site while we were denied accommodations, highlighting an unfair and troubling double standard. This was a breach of contract and showed a lack of basic good faith or concern for our safety and well-being. We hope management reconsiders their practices for future employees.

This place was alright. I suggest if you get a camp site lower down by the river you don't bring small children. Pretty dangerous. Huge fast flowing river with warnings about swimming at your own rish. Also the restrooms were ghetto style in a trailer stating that you are on camera, and I didn't see one anywhere?!? It is a six minute well worth it walk up to the restrooms where people rent the cabins. They are much nicer, cleaner, and not moldy like the ones down by the river. The spaces are small and clumped together. Bring a small tent so it feels like there is more room. Nothing extra special about this koa. We had stayed at West Yellowstone KOA the weekend before, so this one was a let down. Positives: the staff members were really welcoming, there was a small play ground, the location makes you feel like you are actually camping (amazing views from the tent sites at the river). The first picture is outside of the bathroom down by the river. The last is the ones up by the cabins, see the difference? Also they told us the WiFi has been poor for about 2 weeks because the road construction cut the line, but looking at the reviews this is potentially an ongoing issue that they are not being honest about?

We stayed in a honey bear deluxe cabin for one night. It was me, my husband, and our adult son. This was a last-minute cabin booking for us after we decided not to tent in the snow in the Tetons (in late June!) 😉 it’s a great location to visit Jackson Hole. Booking online was smooth, check in was terrific, our cabin was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It had 1 queen bed in the main room and a full bed with a twin bunk over it in a room with a door. Full bathroom. It had nice windows and air conditioning. My hubby and son are 6’5”+ and were comfy! We fished the river right at the resort, hiked around, and relaxed at our site. They even come light the beautiful propane fire tables in the early evening! The bathrooms were clean and a great design: each room has a toilet, sink, and shower. All private and all yours, behind a locked door. We didn’t wait to get in. The provided towels were soft and a really nice addition. We checked out and went on for a day in Teton and Yellowstone Parks and on to Big Sky, MT. We will be back!

Shame, shame, shame on me! Why didn't I read the reviews on this horrible KOA before I booked a deluxe cabin for our party of 3.

The site and accommodations shown on the website are beautiful. When we arrived, we were delighted by what we saw. A beautiful deluxe cabin beside the Snake River. We loved it so much, we booked another night.

Once we got ready to settle in for the night, however, everything changed. Our first bad experience came when we got ready for bed. One of our party turned the lights and overhead fan on in one of the bedrooms and the breaker box tripped. The cabin went dark. Fortunately, I had seen a breaker box on the outside front of the cabin and went outside to see if I could restore power. Finally, found the right switch and, voila, lights restored. Unfortunately, this happened three more times before we decided maybe it was best for the person sleeping in this room to use a flashlight and open the windows if they wanted air.

This cabin had 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a queen bed with a single bunk bed over the top (with a ladder so steep, you needed mountain climbing skills to get into the bed.) And what a comfy bed it was, complete with a blow up mattress. We hadn't planned on using the bunk bed at all since we had 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed. However, when we pulled out the sofa bed and tried out the "mattress", it felt like they had thrown a sheet over some metal springs and called it a bed. No way we could sleep on that. I drew the short straw and made the ascent up the ladder to the bunk bed. Although we are 70 year old ladies, we're still quite fit and have been able to stay that way because we don't take chances with our little old bones. Going up was really not a problem, going down, another story.

While the website advertises free wifi, apparently you can only access it if you go to the office (which closes promptly at 6:00pm). Cell phone service is also non-existent unless you go to the office or drive or walk back to the highway.

When we initially checked in at the front desk, we were not informed as to who we could contact if we had problems after the office closed for the evening. Only after I hiked up to the office did I discover a small note tacked to the outside of the building listing a number to call from a phone next to the note. I promptly called and received a garbled message that sounded like it was being played backwards.

The next morning, we stopped in at the office to cancel our second day reservation and to register our complaints and attempt to get a discount on our room for the problems we experienced. The second day reservation was cancelled with no penalty but when I requested a discount on the cabin I was told by Judy that she couldn't do that and I would have to speak to the manager. Of course, he wouldn't be in until the next day. Ok, no problem, I'll call him tomorrow.

When I was finally able to talk to Kelly, the manager, I was appalled by his condescending attitude. When I complained about the sofa bed, he informed me that all sofa beds were uncomfortable. His response regarding the wifi and cell phone service was, "well, this is a rural area". He had nothing to say about the problem with the breaker box. When I requested a discount on the cabin, he said he would not do that. We stayed with them so we had to pay the full rate. I told him that was unfair because we were unable to avail ourselves of the full services of the cabin and that I would have to complain to my credit card company. He responded that I could "do whatever I had to do". I was so frustrated, I retorted with some ridiculous comment and hung up.

Shame, shame, shame on me for not reading...

Omgoodness! This KOA is at the TOP of our list for worst KOA's ever. We do a lot of travelling and stay in wonderful KOA's all over the country with large sites, grassy areas to enjoy, clean & spacious bathrooms, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, this location was an absolutely disappointment for numerous reasons. Upon arrival we spent several mins looking for an available parking space and soon realized all open areas were marked NO PARKING or RESERVED, so decided to briefly settle into one of those and were IMMEDIATELY yelled at by a staff member for parking in the wrong area. Apparently he didn't have the ability to be kind, patient, or helpful. Believe me, there's simply no extra space anywhere on the grounds!! Within 5 minutes of learning the location of our assigned site, situated between 2 much larger sites, our unsuccessful attempts to fit into the too small space prompted us to nicely request relocation and were surprised to have the desk clerk complain at us the entire time. We are both physically fit, drive a 4WD van conversion (not a tall one) and love tent sites for their common access to water & more wooded areas. These sites, right along the creek & river have only fine, dusty dirt on the ground and no gravel or sand is brought in by the mgmt to help that situation. The fine dirt gets blown up all over the camp sites as guests drive back and forth as well as each time the ever vigilant grounds keepers speed by on their golf carts. BEWARE the steep hill down to the sites that causes most vehicles to spin their tires while kicking up clouds of gravel filled dust and spewing throughout the campground below. To exercise awareness, we simply used our 4WD, drove slowly, had no wheel spinning, and created no dust for our neighbors. The extremely tight bathroom stalls used by all those sites are so small and built using such poor, cheap design we skinned our knuckles opening & closing the doors and the ONE tiny shower stall on each side is not only gross, there's no place to set anything: soap, shampoo, etc, anywhere but on the yucky floor. It was just a little disgusting. This was our 1st visit to Jackson and feel this KOA's owners are definitely way more focused on maximizing capital gain than their guests' comfort. We decided to leave early and won't ever go back. :-( Guess the only way to post this publicly is to give them at least 1 star but feel they...

CAMPERS AVOID AT ALL COST! If I could give it a -10, I would. I am a small business owner and it is against everything in me to write a bad review BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE!!! Where to start...we’ll lets see. First, the bathrooms are awful and full of mold. Absolutely disgusting...I actually felt dirtier coming out of the shower. However, after riding an ATV all day, I needed to clean up. The tent camping area is crammed!!! I mean really crammed and that is what leads me to what happened. Last year, I stayed at this KOA...wasn’t happy so decided to stay in a near by state park. It just so happens that ALOT of KOA’S offer the ability to pay for showers for those that don’t stay....it’s a nice service to have when you stay at state parks. So turns out Jackson Hole stopped doing that...fine, no problem. I decided to pay for 2 nights tent camping...didn’t stay but heck needed to shower...Well, when we checked in, we weren’t given the tags that supposedly hang from the car rear view mirror to let KOA personnel know we were paying customers...so when we pull up to shower we are immediately accosted by a gentleman telling my son he can’t be here...my son explains we have paid for 2 nights and gives him our last name. About an hour later I go to take a shower and this woman immediately approaches and is VERY RUDE AND ACCUSING US OF NOT BEING PAYING CUSTOMERS...I tell her my last name and head to take a shower...it’s at this point that I remember this awful woman and how she handled customers last year that we’re planning a raft trip ( there is a rafting outfit that works out of this location, would NEVER use them as they are affiliated with this KOA.) Anyway, it’s at this point I tell her I remember her and her awful customer service. Her husband, comes over and tells me to get out. I explain to him that we are being hassled and have been continually because THEIR employee failed to give us the parking pass...he then curses at me for 5 minutes...REALLY BAD LANGUAGE. Oh, I never said one curse word. He then threatens to call the Sheriff because I’m trespassing??? Ummmmmm...no! I paid for 2 nights to just use your showers!!! He then continues to be belligerent...IT WAS AWFUL AND HE IS A VERY HORRIBLE PERSON...apparently he and his wife are the managers of the property. They should be fired hands down for the way the treated me and...
