2 of three staff members were great. The 3rd lady had her moments of decency and sheer rudeness as a housekeeper. Worse of all the owner is a rude POS. And a liar to top. Cable didn't work the first night and day. We ask that short little lying SOB owner, he quickly mentioned that he will call Dish Network or DirecTV in the morning. He must have thought that we were completely stupid, because why use you little lying Antics that you used to one-nighters, and get caught in a lie by people who are staying there for 2 months duration. So the next morning when I guess he realize that we were apart of that crew that was there for the duration he moved us into another room the next morning. Which could have been done that night instead he wanted nothing to do with being not only a half decent and reasonable owner of a motel but just common basic customer service was completely diminished or maybe it never even had time to be diminished it was completely absent. The sheets were washed once in one month. When the sheets should have been washed every single day as the rooms are paid for in full for a good duration of at least 8 weeks. So it's no different than someone coming in and staying at that room every day or every night and the sheets have to be washed this tells me that the sheets do not get washed every time someone stays and their rooms and it's not the staff members fault. Unless you're the older lady man gets upset every time she has to lift the finger and must be bipolar because sometimes she's in a good mood sometimes she's a total rude. The stay there was at times comfortable. None of the smoke detectors worked, the phones didn't work, which the reason that I was told by the owner was a complete lie I later found by someone more honest. He had told not only me but my boss that the phones don't work because a major storm came through and knocked things down and basically was the excuse for him not putting up the money right away and getting those things fixed. He is a very big procrastinator, and a cocky, condescending, with an indifferent attitude towards his customers, as I could see the condescension stricken mug he would carry, as if he was the f** commander-in-chief. Any experience at that Motel lacking service, decency, basic common customer service, friendliness, or anything you can possibly think of to make your customers happy, or even lesser content and satisfied with their stay, was the epitome of the whole entire town to be honest. With the same half as scheme all around town and its surrounding areas, the only place I found satisfying was big a burgers. Anyone reading this if you are from Hobart, please do not get offended if you feel like you are a generally good person and of course I love your town and everything there is to do in it. Read moreHorrific! We arrived a bit late although we had called ahead to notify of this (had to leave message. property is not staffed full time). When we arrived, we found that only 2 of the 3 keys worked. We entered the first room which despite being large, was bug infested. Bugs on the carpets, bugs on the walls and ceiling, bugs on the windowsill and on the stove. There were hairs in the bed (pubic) and i'm not sure if the comforter has ever been washed. and was badly stained with goodness knows what!!
The second room was just as bad but in addition had someone elses give left in the toilet un-flushed.. Had the cleaners been here at all?
AC worked well in these rooms but was loud and didn't reach the bedrooms so they were very warm. they had provided fans but these were broken. in fact most power outlets did not work.
Fire alarm was painted over, no CO detectors at all, exposed power panel outside and broken window in room 3.
We finally go into the 3rd room. the ac although running was broken the room was well over 100 degrees. An after being chased out by bugs we didn't use that room at all.
Needless to say after sharing rooms and getting no sleep and being bitten by BED BUGS, we demanded a refund. they gave it to us grudgingly.
The management has no idea of basic standards and health or how to run a business. Just disgusting.
