Chasing Rumors Luxury Cabin — Hotel in Hochatown

I travelled from NYC to stay at Chasing Rumors. I am a particularly "pickey" guest when it comes to hospitality. (I'm a consultant for high end restaurants, hotels and clubs in Manhattan so that definitely factors into things when I travel.) My significant other and I were going to be in Oklahoma and I spent weeks researching everything from the highest rated hotels in OKC to a house featured on some television show to cottages in the Witchita Mountains. I saw Chasing Rumors on a third party app and then found the direct website for it. I scrolled through the pictures, description, amenities and every review and by the end was positive it was either a scam or exactly what I had been looking for. (Spoiler: it was the latter.) I emailed Shane, the property owner, he called me back within an hour and booking was seamless. Chasing Rumors blew any other place I've stayed out of the water - from the Plaza in nyc to luxury bungalows in Andalusia to ocean front beach houses in the Hamptons. I honestly can't begin to truly explain the amount of detail to comfort and real luxury this place has. First of all it is spotless. Not like someone ran a vaccuum through it, I mean white glove spotless. The amenities are unbelievable. From the sauna, hot tub, soaking tub, fire pit to details like the quality of bedding, plateware, coffee nook - it's like a private heaven. And it is nestled in an area where the woods give you complete privacy. I cant rave about this place enough because it will sound like I'm advertising lol. We stayed at Chasing Rumors June 2021. This is a brand new luxury cabin nestled in the woods with distant neighborhood houses and with an incredible owner, Shane White! This is the best house we have ever rented for a vacation in over 20 years!!! The owners have gone above and beyond the norm from providing a clean and spotless house, to having the most luxurious linens and towels, to labeling all of the light switches, to providing a "Guide" to the cabin showing you how everything works and where things are located, to providing spices for cooking, coffee for brewing and laundry soap, dishwasher detergent and dish soap for the necessities! Ladies! They have a great hair dryer, so you don't need to pack that! Also, he has provided 4 extremely soft bath robes to use while at the cabin too! A start up supply of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion was also provided, as well as smores and a bottle of wine! There is a soothing and relaxing hot tub on the outside deck, as well as two different sitting areas, one with a TV and fireplace. Inside there is an incredible dry sauna in the master bathroom. They have built an incredible home and we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to share it! 4 nights getaway in this gorgeous cabin. This is top notch quality, close to everything in Hochatown/Broken Bow Lake activities, has pretty much all amenities you can ask for and is very well managed and maintained. Owner is responsive and looking for every opportunity to make your stay perfect. Rare, and appreciated.

If you're looking for worry-free, luxurious self-made getaway, look no further. It's not the cheapest, but worth every penny.

Not related to the cabin but just a general observation - Hochatown and the whole area is booming. Our first time in the area was in 2018 and since then it has changed a lot. If you're going for a weekend, do expect restaurants & other interests being busy.
