My name, is Loyd Davis, Jr. At the Meriwether Lewis Campground a female park ranger for some reason this woman does not like me I don't know why I've never done nothing but be nice to the lady a friend of mine at the campground he's turned 82 yesterday I ran bother you just long enough yesterday morning to say happy birthday to him cuz I was going to Hohenwald Tennessee. And I gave him something for his birthday while I was there I've been there for about 10 minutes and here comes the park ranger she pulls up motions for me to come over to her car. Tell me she said that you can't be here because you have stayed 14 days here. I informed her that I have been there 11 days did I have a documented in a book she has been letting people stay two or three months there and don't say a damn word to them... The park ranger I told the park ranger that my friend was dying from cancer he got too much to live I told him I was just today for his birthday for a few minutes. I kept looking at the top of the hill and far as she kept coming up looking to see if I was still down there. This part ranger I don't know what she's got against me but I'm going to tell you this much I filed a lawsuit against deputy sheriff's already is the civil rights violation for deputy sheriff's harassing me on State property. I used to enjoy coming up the campground if you're going to tell one person they can only be there for 14 days and you let somebody else say they have two or three months and not say that to them.

My opinion is if you're going to let people that she lacks stay there for Two or three months, 5 run the other person off it hadn't done nothing to you because she don't like you.

Everybody should be treated as equals and fairly... I'm hoping her boss to see this and relieve her of her job. I'm going to contact my attorney I would not suggest to come anywhere on the parkway as long as that woman's working and do any camping if you got a motorhome or a camper or something like that that's fine as long as...

Have stayed there twice for a few days. There are no hookups for RVs but they have a bathroom. They also provide fire rings and tables at each site. There is water in front of the bathroom for filling the fresh water tank. No dump stations in the area. Doing a google map search the closest dump station is about an hour away. Verizon cell service works for calls and text messages but is spotty for Internet. At times I couldn’t get access to my weather app. This seems to be a great campground to get away and have peace and quiet. Both times I’ve been there had no problem finding a site. I also like that they keep up the park. Cleaning the bathroom and picking up trash every day. Highly recommend especially if you just want to primitive camp or have a generator and decent size holding...

Great place. I've been from seaside, OR to here (seaside is a tourist death-trap just fyi). It's a clean, respectable area - please treat it as such, a LOT of important history here.

Being that it is free for the first 14 days, expect some "undesirables" and rif raff. I have been camping next to several white trash folks for the last 3 nights, and saw what appeared to be broken car window glass at the area where you park your rig - be forewarned. TN is a constitutional carry state, plan accordingly. Other than that, relatively clean modern facilities, and it really is a clean and respectful environment. Not much mosquitoes at all (it's August right now). There is a town 7 miles to the E, with everything you need provision wise. Please, just don't be a pig and pick-up...

This was a Beautiful Campground!!! I live near Nashville and can't afford much at the moment. Very dark and creepy at night.. lol.. VERY DARK!!!! No unruly people. I could only stay one day. I am building a little more here and there so I can have what is needed for camping. Internet service was present at times. Phone service was a challenge as it was. I played a few offline games on my tablet. You know, camping is a place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. If you want to camp at a place where you can put technology down for a little while, you will be forced to at Meriwether Lewis Campground!!!! I will work my way around to other Campgrounds but this place will be one I will revisit!!!!

When you were traveling the Natchez Trace this is definitely a camper's Paradise. It's a little bit off the road but that ensures here none of the very light traffic. It has beautiful paved roadways and campsites. Some are pulled through some are back in but all are very spacious with picnic tables and some have fire pits. It's a great place to come and relax while on vacation or if you're just taking a trip. There is a combination of RVs both big and small trailers and tents and hammocks. A great place to see the sunrise and the sunset and to enjoy the sounds of the birds and leaves falling in the autumn.

Loved this cool retreat away from Nashville. There were some lovely picnic spots along the river and great hiking. We came in on a Thursday, late afternoon, and there were three camping spots left so you may have a hard time finding an open spot by Friday evening would be my guess. The camping spots were great and very accessible for motorcycles. Our neighbors were super friendly and you could definitely bring your dog here! Check out the little historical cabin that commemorates Merriweather Lewis (of Lewis and Clark fame) and his untimely death.
