We spent 3 nights here while at the Mayo Clinic. The third and final day I went to do some laundry and discovered that there was NO hot water in the laundry or showers. There was no one in charge on site so I called the phone number. A man answered, didn't identify himself. I informed him that there was NO hot water. This was about 2:00PM. The gentleman explained that a plummer had been out earlier in the day and was supposed to turn the unit back on so as to have hot water. He said to me "it's the plummer's fault". I suggested that we focus on getting the issue resolved, I even offered to take care of it myself, being a building contractor. I felt confident that I could resolve the problem. He declined my offer, said he "didn't want to drive all the way to Ellendale at the time to unlock the door to the water heater closet". He told me to "take a shower in my trailer". I explained to him that my husband needed a handicap shower but he didn't care about our situation. To make a long story short, the NO hot water issue was still not fixed by 10PM that night. The man on the phone said they are just a family run business, (I guess to suggest that they are somehow justified in not having to provide any service to their guests/customers), that it was the plummer's fault and made it quite clear to me that he was not interested in resolving the problem. We were on our own! The man was more interested in making excuses. He said his wife had been to the Mayo Clinic. I explained to him that we too had spent the day at the Clinic, didn't have the best day and just wanted to take a warm shower and head to bed. We were absolutely shocked at the way we were talked to and treated by this man. These people simply do not care about their guests. They appear to have quite a few long-term residents and obviously do not care about anyone else. Their actions speak loud and clear. There is no reason why a reasonable business couldn't have taken care of the problem quickly and efficiently, THAT IS THEIR JOB-CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! So BEWARE if you come to this RV park. It is a beautiful setting but the customer service and concern for your safety and welfare is nonexistent. We realized further that if the owners really cared about their guests, they would do something about the dust. Everything is dusty gravel, absolutely no paved roads anywhere. The wind even kicks up the dust and it seems to be windy here. Even driving to the RV Park, you travel on a dusty gravel road. Lastly, the water is disgusting. It is brown and foul smelling. We really do not understand the reviews of this place. How could anyone enjoy staying here with such foul smelling water. This alone is a good reason not to come here, it is truly disgusting and the odor actually turned our stomachs. My husband and I are 65 years old, we've traveled all over the world and have NEVER come across such foul smelling, brown water ever! We truly do not understand the excellent reviews of this place. Their ad states that they are the most beautiful RV park in southern Minnesota but it is more like lipstick on a pig, as the saying goes. Our experience here was a disappointing disaster and we certainly can't recommend this place to anyone. The owners have proven by their actions that they really do not care about...

This is one of the most thoughtful layouts for a campground we have ever seen. Wide roads with easy turns, clearly numbered sites, LARGE and spacious sites. Scenic sites on a small lake, neat and orderly trash disposal (but no recycling), well manicured landscaping, a small walking trail and a nice community room building. The owner is hardworking and pleasant and it seems like every detail is thought of, including a mailbox for outgoing mail. This is a great stop for overnight travelers, but there are a number of seasonal sites that are neat and orderfy. Each site has a picnic table and a raise firepit. There are no amenities such as a pool, playground or pet area, but for our needs, this was unnecessary. The campground is well lit at night (but not too bright). There is a constant hum from highway traffic, but that also means that the campground is JUST off the highway for easy access. We would certainly stop here again when passing through. Visiting nearby Autin, MN was a real treat! We enjoyed the Spam Museum MUCH more than we anticipated, plus the Hormel Mansion and the Jay Hormel Nature Center. Go get your Spam Fries and enjoy a stay here at...

Arrived in the rain to find a self-service check in. Provided paperwork was quite explicit about not driving on their grass. Having ‘Goggled’ it, I knew these were back-in right angle sites. Fortunately our site was fronted by a huge vacant site that I could use. Our arriving neighbor did the same, but his site was not aligned as ours & it was a challenge. Our waterfront site is spectacular. As I write this, I’m watching a fisherwoman catch (& release) what appears to be the same fish over & over. 2 washers & dryers that we took advantage of before the storm that greeted our arrival passed. The frontage road isn’t paved, but in good shape. Our black SoCal FX4 is so dirty it actually looks like it’s been off-roading! Internet, which I mandate for a top rating, is fine for basic stuff, but is not intended for streaming. No cable, but good over the air. Couldn’t find much to do in the immediate area, but over our 3 night stay we enjoyed the Spam Visitors Center in Austin & an excellent Calvary Chapel...

Was next to highway so was a little on the noisy side. Also.. the city was aerating their sewage plant...er whatever and gees did it stink. Not the campgrounds fault. But was unpleasant. Grounds were tidy. Owner was nice. Bugs were horrible. Site was flat. Gravel. There was a lake but the way we were parked couldn't see it from our rig. Most sites were large enough for a 44 ft rig. No campfire ring. It is still developing. Not a lot of spots right now. Only two pull thrus...kept for one nighters.

This is a very pretty park. Pond is lovely as well as the entrance. There is a path that leads to this grassy area that is just gorgeous and not used for anything. It would make a nice dog park or something. The landscaping is so pretty with all the flowers. The reason for the 4 star is the trees upon entering need to be trimmed. We had one of the two pull through sites which was quite large but our slide was in the branches. That needs to be addressed. Other than that it was a very nice stay.

One of the nicest private RV Parks we’ve been in. Reasonably priced, Very clean, very quiet and nicely landscaped. Met Kurt, son of the owner- what a super friendly guy. There is a nice walking path around the lake. All the RV spaces are gravel, spacious, wide for parking our tow, and with a portion of grass. It was easy to maneuver our 43 ft Class A Coach. We backed into spot #7, for two nights. Perfect !! Very nice. YES….highly recommended!!
