we arrived Tuesday, and the living room was full of wasp flying around and on The floor, the ceiling, the windows the steps on the outside was full of them. Laura came and sprayed them and that helped but we still had wasps there. The whole time refrigerator went out and we bought some food. Put it in the refrigerator the next morning we got up and it was 60° so it ruined all the food and in the bathroom and the tub didn’t work so we had to have them come fix that. They brought the new refrigerator upstairs to replace the broken ones. They messed up the strip on the steps. You couldn’t see it until I stepped on it and got my shoe caught on and if I wouldn’t have been holding onto the railing, I would’ve fallen down the steps, one small air conditioner in the living room, which did not cool off the rest of the place so the bedroom is hot and stuffy I would not recommend this place to anyone. Laura was the only one that tried hard to make things right but it seems like the owner Refunded us $73 back. that’s what would cover the food that was wasted, but not the stress of all the wasp flying around Or the heat in the rooms, they have a long way to go to make this a pleasant experience. Also, I vacuumed up a lot of the wasp so you don’t see a lot of them, but there was hundreds of them on the floor when Laura sprayed them sprayed them she also brought us two flyswatters, and I killed several with...
Read moreMy extended family (8 adults and 6 children) recently spent 3 nights at Meadow's Edge Lodge of Tall Pines. I have been so much looking forward to the get together, and was thrilled that our stay met and exceeded my expectations. The lodge size was PERFECT for the number in our group. We all comfortably had rooms and beds; the kids LOVED the bunk room. Not a single person ever complained of lack for hot water. All the plumbing drained well. The lodge is beautiful! The Christmas decorations were so nice. The furnishings were just right for our stay. With minimal meal planning between the families, we did not leave the lodge for a single meal. We used the outdoor grill for steaks; and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our other meals. Everything worked. It was a short drive to Branson for the shopping we enjoy. The last night my husband and I decided to use the hot tub. I am so glad that we did; as it was the best night to view the Geminid meteor shower--so cool!!! I am so happy with our stay at Meadow's Edge, and look forward to meeting there again next year! Thank you, Margie, for your...
Read moreThe question is; what did I like about Tall Pines......What's not to like! If you prefer being processed at the hotel of your choice at the front desk, the elevator, the food buffet, long walks to your car, you know the rest. Don't book at Tall Pines! Tall Pines is EVERYTHING other lodging isn't. Secluded, with very comfortable dwellings of different styles, that blend into the surrounding forest with ease. You might see another guest while on a walk, or not. You will enjoy the natural feel of the entire property. The location also lends itself to use of the lake with a boat ramp/park just a mile or so further down the road. If you are a motorcyclist and enjoy the challenge of a curvy road, you are in an area of unbelievable roads. I would rank them them to be just behind the area of North Carolina. Just book with Tall Pines once, you'll return again, as are our plans. Truly a home...
