Trout Hollow Lodge — Hotel in Hollister

Quiet out of the way place. Beautiful screen deck From which to watch the world go by. Really nice clean dock . My son and couple friends sat there most of a night watching the river and th stars go by. Couple otters dropped by to trade a bit of wisdom for some of the canned corn we use for bait. The otters said the trout were busy at some family reunion but we we welcome to stay and talk...perhaps even the old river would be kind and make effort to say a word since we had been polite respectful enough to not throw trash and waste into his waters. We staid on that dock all night. Few words were spoken the rest of that night but we all heard the storey of the White River and Lake Taney Como In the afternoon we walked cross the Road out front and ate pizza at the little Italian restaurant. Wow their spaghetti was as good as my mom's . ...How does that happen. Good spaghetti is passed on via genetics isn't it!!? And none of them is related to none of mine. So I'm confused about my family tree but I'm going to fill up on pizza and spaghetti . Then I will take wheel barrow back to cabin and ponder the situation. My family and I have been staying here every Memorial Day weekend for the last 5 years, we were started staying there during there when the previous owners were there and now with the new owners and I cannot say enough good things. They are friendly, the cabins are clean and well maintained (we’ve stayed in 5 different cabins all fantastic) and are continuously being renovated. The updated dock is a great place to rent either a John Boat or a Pontoon Boat and enjoy Lake Taneycomo. They do a great job of keeping you updated on how the schedule for the dam running water and Will even slip you some hints at what’s been the bait trick that day! I love coming here it’s been our yearly get away, the minute we step foot on the property it’s like we’ve never left and the minute we step off we’re talking about our plans for next year. So if by the end of this review you haven’t picked up the phone and called Jamie in the office and booked your room overlooking the water you better hurry because I may beat you to it because I’m ready...

My family had their 2nd family reunion at Trout Hollow Lodge. The last one was about 6 years ago so the lodge has new owners since that reunion. I was pleasantly surprised at all the upgrades that were made. I liked that a man would go down each morning and sweep away all the spider webs of the boat dock. 😳 They were always out and cleaning and repairing the property. The young lady that works in the office is very friendly and helpful. There was a mess up in our booking. She looked into it and fixed it quickly and to our satisfaction. We enjoyed the pool on several days and the fishing area as well. Having the pizza place across the street was awesome for the evening we didn’t want to cook or drive into town.||I would recommend this place to everyone. It is a great place to get away. You can drive into Branson maybe 5 minutes and do all kinds of stuff and then come back to this quiet place on the Tanecomo. We will surely return if not for another family reunion then just for a...
