Our stay at Stay and Play in Homer was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by peace, beauty, and warmth. The house itself is simply astonishing, immaculately clean and filled with thoughtful, historical details that reflect the lives and stories of its wonderful hosts, Anna and Byron. It felt like stepping into a different time, lovingly preserved and shared with grace.
We were there for our honeymoon, and Anna and Byron made it incredibly special. Their hospitality was beyond generous, they made us feel not just welcomed, but truly celebrated. The morning started with a delicious breakfast made from local products, enjoyed with a breathtaking view from both our room and the kitchen. It’s the kind of view you want to soak in for hours.
We are infinitely grateful for this experience. It was the perfect place to celebrate such a meaningful moment in our lives. We’ll always carry these memories with us and cannot wait to return someday, hopefully soon, to hear more of Anna and Byron’s incredible stories and enjoy their beautiful home once again.
Thank you both for such a magical stay. We will be forever grateful for this...
Read moreWe booked in advance for a family of 3. There was some requested changes for the booking which we accomodated. There is parking onsite. This a beautiful old home which Ana and Byron have owned for many years. You can see the care and dedication put into it. It makes perfect sense that they have rules about the house, like not wearing shoes inside and they are particular about basic care. The room we were given was lovely for two people, unfortunately the extra cot provided for my son was uncomfortable and he ended up just sleeping on the floor with the mattress from the cot. The house is filled with interesting knick knacks. The bathroom was very large. Each room has its own heater. The view is incredible and the gardens beautiful. The breakfast was well made with eggs, toast, sausage and bacon. Ana was very kind to pack a lunch for us too $12 each sandwich, chips, coconut cookies, grapes. There was a refrigerator and dinning table as well. They are very interesting and...
Read moreWe took a 3 day trip to Homer to celebrate a decade birthday. I telephoned Anna in advance and she gave me some great recommendations, such as a boat lunch trip to Gull Island and the Saltry restaurant at Halibut Cove, which I was able to book well in advance. We had a fantastic time meeting and chatting with both Anna and Byron. They are superb hosts, serving delicious made to order breakfasts with private seating. We had lovely breakfast appetizers and choice of different options daily. Loved the fresh picked raspberries from their garden! Byron makes a scrumptious homemade sourdough bread. They can accommodate vegetarian and vegan options. The glacier view room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. ||We hope to return again...
