This place is gorgeous. It's well maintained.. the spots are reasonable.. the river is gorgeous and there are so many spots you can get down to it and lots of water shallow enough to just kind of wade and play... some spots are freaking phenomenal.. the bathrooms are amazingly well maintained.. The greatest thing about this location, even above the pure beauty of the place, has to be the camp hosts they are sweet and kind and caring and they really really love what they do...

Clean campground. Unfortunately just one water outlet is open and 7 or so have been plugged. Two or three spots would be able to accommodate RVs up to 35’ or less. Quiet place. Very refreshing creek is at the end of the loop. Carson is only 8 minutes away if you’re in a need of groceries/gas. Lotsa spots along the highway to buy firewood. Park host also sells firewood. Main restroom has flushable toilets with sinks.

We had a great time at Beaver. The camp host, Kevin, was super accommodating and informative as we had a big storm over the weekend. He came to show us the radar and even took away our garbage for us. He was so kind in helping us find two sites that fit our group and really made our stay enjoyable. The toilets were very clean with flushable toilets! Would highly recommend staying at Beaver.

I personally truely enjoy this campground! This is my 3rd stay. All the spots are decent size for the most part accept for one with a teeny 3-5man tent pad & bad table/pit locality. Unlike most in the area there is also a swing set, park like field for gaming & a horseshoe pit. Hoodoo rec does a great job keeping it clean, toilets are never stinky & outside of Sunday night memorial day wknd, full of paper! They missed it Sunday & we know as they emptied rubbish & then moved on 😉. Had we said something, they would have refilled but there were 4 other toilets close by! No need to disturb anyone.

Quick access to a shallow river great for youngsters to sit & play in close to shore & some deeper pools for the water veterans.

30 or so spots, most comfortably sleep 6-12 with 1 or 2 group spots. This is my fav so far in the close to Portland metro area. NOT great for trail seekers! No close by trails!

On the WA side its not bad an hour 15 from vancouver, 30 from Stevenson, 15 from Carson. Lots of firewood & one of the few that a crew of 6-11yro can gather wood from legally!

Hoodoo Rec minded locations are always well maintained grounds & rarely (outside of the likes of Paradise Creek) on top of your neighbor. Most are good sized, private, well maintained & clean! I like ammeneties at swift near Helens, but too many spots crammed in, 40+ spots, gross looking swim area, tons of rules; loud & REALLY UNCLEAN! Multi hosts cant keep poop from looking like its been flung nightly & run out of TP in rest rooms! But far more trails & ammeneties than others in area. Pick...

Reserved a spot it was flood the camp host did let us move 1 space over. A grand daughter was suppose to meet us after she got off work. This campground is closes it gate at 9. And has spike strip in the out going so you can t come in . We didn't know about the gate closing until we got there so ask the host if we could go out and call to see if the granddaughter was on the way. He said we could go out but he wouldn't let us back in. But he was leaving the gate open for a large boy scout group coming in .. why them and not us? He told us the day use area our phones would work and we could contact her there .. not. ..our granddaughter came in the next day. Isn't there a rule on how many people in a site so many sites loaded with tents and people m part of the scouts were next to us. It was so close we could hear tent and sleeping bag zippers and them getting up at 5 am not quietly.. also it was no camp fire area but there were some who had camp fires both nights we were there. Seems rules are for some and not others.we never meet the second host in area b...

Great campground to enjoy your family and friends. Hosts are fantastic and very friendly and helpful. People who complain about this campground are ones who can't respect others and follow rules which are in place so everyone can have a great time. You'll never stay at a place with more caring and informative people. There is some road noise, but not really a problem. Many sites are secluded and some a little open, but every site has shrubbery or trees. There is a small activity field for games, with horseshoe pits and a swing and the hosts have games for everyone to check out if you don't have your own. Location is great, there are many adventures within a short drive. River access and a small trail are toward the back of the grounds. All in all , this is a fantastic...
