We stayed here 3 nights for Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in the Tahoma Yurt, which we’re told is brand new. We loved it so much! Glamping at its finest. As you walk in the door from the spacious outside deck, it opens up to the kitchen followed by a comfortable living area. The kitchen has everything, all major appliances and dishwater, very modern and clean. There is a small couch and two comfortable chairs facing a flatscreen TV. Just beyond the kitchen is the doorway to a beautiful bathroom with all modern amenities and decorated eloquently, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and luxurious towel sets. There is another pocket door from the bathroom that leads into the master bedroom, decorated by Pacific Northwest photography and very comfortable bed with pillow top and super soft white sheets and blanket. There is a loft with a wooden ladder that takes you up there, not for the elderly but perfect for kids. My 16 yo daughter was very comfortable up there in a full size bed. There is even a window dome at the top above her bed that is clear to look out and see the stars at night. There is space next to the bed in the loft with a rug and pillows, plenty of room for belongings and suitcase. We spent every night on the back deck with the fire pit, playing games, eating dinner and enjoying the wooded lot and rolling mountains and stars as the weather was perfect. The craftsmanship of this yurt is unbelievable. The floor plan is laid out perfectly optimizing space and making it seem far bigger and open. We loved the canvas around the perimeter of the yurt, which was clear plastic on half to see out onto the deck and into the woods with no obstruction of view. Temperature of the yurt was controlled automatically and it was neither too cold or too hot, but just right. Staff was very helpful during the booking process, and when we got there after midnight and couldn’t quite find it right away (it’s very dark), they were immediately available through text. The door is locked with a door code. We also brought our little 6lb Dachshund with us as pets are welcome (for a fee of course). She loved it too. A few highlights we did - Panther Creek Falls, Beacon Rock Hike, rail bikes at Mt Hood railway, e-bikes to Mosier from Sol Bikes, and dinner at Backwoods Brewery. A wonderful weekend and would most certainly recommend Columbia Gorge Getaways to all...

Read moreOur family has had the privilege of enjoying Columbia Gorge Getaways on three separate occasions and each time was a joyous and exceptional experience. Our first time staying was for a friend's wedding. Everything was perfect from start to finish and hands down one of the best weddings we have been to from the stunning Ceremony site overlooking the luscious forest to the fun event space perfect for any gathering. We stayed in a Bell tent and I have never slept so soundly as I did for this cozy glamping weekend. The bathrooms have everything you need and being amongst friends and family in such a gorgeous space was pure bliss. We gathered again for a lovely baby shower on a perfect Spring day! Again, the event space was such a great spot and our kids loved play area and fun lawn games! The last time we stayed we brought our tent and loved it. We were amazed at how comfortable and spacious our site was along with a lovely picnic table to enjoy our meals. The kids loved running around the safe and friendly campsite and playing in the play space. They have been hounding us to return and we cannot wait! We will be recommending Columbia Gorge Getaways to everyone as the perfect gathering spot! Thank you for the wonderful experiences each...
