Pretty campground. The area has a lot of beauty. The creek of Little White Salmon is a very peaceful place and very tranquil. We spent much of our time sitting on the rocky shore enjoying the babbling waters. Just keep in mind that it can be quite busy. We like to visit this campground off season. So it's mostly just us at the campground. There are some problems with the restrooms at the campground. The camping spot we enjoy, has a non functional restroom. Which has been that way for at least 2 years. Last year they had a portable outhouse available. But not this year. I suppose they could have removed them for the season before we arrived. So it's a hike up the hill to get to the next working one. There are two others in the campground that work, but have broken vents or the doors that won't stay shut. They also have water available throughout the campground. But several have either been capped or not working. The one near our site works. But we noticed the water being murky, so I wouldn't suggest drinking the water. The signs for restrictions for that campground aren't current either, so make sure you read up before visiting. We did notice we had 2 bars on this trip. It was on an expanded network so not a Verizon cell tower. If you can overlook only the possibility of a working restroom for the beauty of this campground it will be worth it. The forest is mostly evergreen with a little deciduous trees here and there. It's a pretty dense forest which helps provide privacy between each site. Overall it will be a place worth coming to again. If I could truly rate this campground. I'll give it a 5 for beauty but a 1 or 2 stars for the campground upkeep. It's surprising the campground isn't better maintained for each year we've gone had a camphost on site.

Such a magical campground. The camp hosts were so nice. The wood they sell is $8.00 a bundle, which is a little high. Bring your own, or the Texico I Carson sells it for 4.99 and boy it burn good! Walking distance to White Salmon River. It was low enough to stream walk but so cold. You can reserve spots on recreation.gov. I am hoping to go back soon!

What a great little (17 site’s) campground. They have water and vault toilets and they have the best hosts (Holly? and family) who keep it clean and under control, and are just really nice. Woods with a nice creek splashing through. Sites are on the small side and some are not very level. Small sites and some are not very level.

I had a 5 star experience at Moss Creek campground. We had a large enough spot for 4 tents and a canopy with lots of room in between. The hosts, Josh and Heidi were not only friendly, but engaging and very imformative about surrounding activites and places. We camped for 4 nights and it was the quietest campground I have ever stayed in. The vaulted bathroom and water access was just steps away and kept very clean and stocked daily by hosts. The campground is obviously well cared for by the hosts as I didn't find one piece of litter anywhere that I explored, and that is rare. Thank you to Josh and Heidi for taking such great care of us during our stay and making this campground one of the best I have stayed in. We will certainly return...

It would be very beneficial if visitors would read the rules before making negative reviews. The hosts are there to help and they are all up to date on the ins and outs of the procedures that are in place. The passes issued by the Forest Service have fine print and they are not all honored at every site and it clearly states that when they are received. The rules about passes are also posted at every campground. Hosts are also educated about this and can help when there is confusion. Passes are not for parking in the campground. Passes honored are clearly posted. My suggestion would be to stop arguing with the hosts and allow them...
