We really enjoy paradise Creek. If camping here they have a great trail the lava bute trail. We were just here and the bridge over the creek on the trail was washed away, but you could still cross. The campground has vaulted toilets. Close to many other great things to see on the area like the Carson hatchery, panther creek falls, the ape caves, and Mt. St Helens. Many of those require a forest pass, but it's only $5 a day for the car, and you can buy them at the forestry visitor station. Some of the sites on front are closer to the road so we prefer the back side of the campground so we don't have to hear cars driving by, but even then it's not too bad.

Really nice camp hosts. We needed to upgrade and they were more than helpful plus came around later to check in on our group and make sure things were working out. Toilets are composting but are in proper buildings around the paved drive loop and had lots of toilet paper (no showers). Potable well water from an original, old hand pump (it gets tested monthly they told us). Several very quality hikes near by plus the creek immediately on site which is lovely. Camp sites have sand boxed areas for your tent (to stay level, drained) and most have partially paved driveways for your car/small RV (no hookups).

Just wrapped up a 2 night stay here - first time camping in the PNW. It is beautiful! The sites were very well kept, everything clean and organized. Very friendly camp host. The toilets, although clean, were a bit rough by Saturday since they’re just chemical pit toilets. The only negative here is the proximity to the main highway - early mornings the road noise was pretty loud which kind of takes you out of the vibes. But otherwise, highly recommend this place!

Decent campgrounds. No cell service. No showers, but a creek and river to cool off in on a hot day. Pit toilets. Two water pumps. Used Burkey to filter our water, though, because of rust in water. My 10-Person Dark Room Instant Cabin Tent barely fit the camping pad in site 9 (we had maybe two feet past the log, but it worked fine). My dad's same tent fit in the camping pad perfectly at site 8. I wish recreation.gov showed the sizes of each camping pad, but we made it work in the other two sites without using the smaller camping pads because they had enough open space in sites 6 and 7 for the 8-Person Yurt Tents (online each site). The campground is paved and decently long, which was good for riding a bike or skateboard (so probably even a scooter or roller blades/skates). Pets are allowed, but they must be leashed...

Slightly let down. This was our first time camping here. We LOVE Panther Creek, but wanted to try something new. The sites were level. You can see pretty much every camp site around, there is no privacy for any of the spots that can be booked online. We have come to expect a lot out of Hoodoo campgrounds with hosts like Larry at Panther Creek. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired. The "cleaning" appeared to just be them flooding the place with a hose, which stayed wet and then muddy the rest of the time we were there another day. There was fecal matter on the wall that was never washed off during the cleaning. I will say the landscape with the creek and all was very beautiful and there are lots of little trails to explore. Overall not the worst we have been to, but certainly far...

Everything about this campground is wonderful. From the tall trees, clean campground, spacious camp spots, small creeks, lots of trails, etc... EXCEPT the current camp host. He is an awful grumpy man who screamed in our faces as we tried to leave the campground and cut us off the road in his golf cart. Without even looking at our fire pit, which was PUT OUT WITH WATER and had steam coming off of the metal fire ring, he proceeded to scream at us that we left a burning fire. He NEVER once looked in the fire pit or came into the camp spot to check. He was very rude and arrogant until he realized he was wrong and began to apologize which was too little too late. We would camp there again with different hosts, but definitely not with this one. We live in this town, we...
