About a dozen tent camping spots. The access road is too narrow and rough for most RVs or trailers. No water other than from the creek. Two large vault pit toilets; amazingly, they are wheelchair accessible. Of course they are pit toilets and smell like pit toilets.

The campground itself is clean with a couple of garbage cans that are emptied daily by Rangers. There's a nice creek at the edge of the campground and several of the tent camping spots border the creek. The creek is shallow enough for kids to play in. Saw some fly fishermen; very small fish. A few biting flies, but mostly no bugs. Lots of shade. Each camping spot has a large wooden picnic table (or two) and fire pit(s). There were some double occupation camp spots (i.e.#9). There is some dust from the road if Vehicles go by, which...

Our family has been going there since our first son was four years old.The camp closed down years later and was so run down you could not camp there.I was told that hunters would use the camp grounds to stay in while hunting. We went back in 2022 after every thing opened back up. The new camp host couple have done a wonderful job at bringing the camp grounds back to the way we remembered back in the 70s-80s.If anyone went there the band Hank Raskle and the wasted rangers would play there on the week ends at the tavern which is now an inn.Our family is going back again this year to camp. Thank you to the wonderful hosts for bringing Trout lake camp back to life again. I hope we can fish from camp like we use to. Sincerely the Rohrer family from Ridgefield Wa. John @Jolee @...

This CG needs some TLC. The picnic tables (there were 2 at my double site) were damaged. The outhouse was clean in terms of no garbage on the floor and had ample toilet paper, however the toilet was disgusting. I saw the ranger visit and check the garbage each day. I wonder, why aren't the toilets included during their rounds too? It is in desperate need of a power wash or replacement. We ended up leaving early because we couldn't handle the nonstop helicopter noise from the logging taking place a few miles away. The chopper was in the air from 6:30 am until 2:30 pm. I wish the Forest Service would have posted this activity on the webpage because we wouldn't have bothered with the trip. The site has...

Quiet, secluded campground on a creek. Best nights of sleep ever listening to the water flowing! Easy to get a site during summer and close to town, things to see. Bring your own water or boil it! There is a hike in campground that has its own private "beach", fire pit, and picnic table. The trail begins on the east side of the campground.

Close enough to town for convenience and far enough from town to feel like you're in the wilderness. Camp sites are well maintained. Two toilet locations. No water or electricity. Several camp sites are right along the stream offering you that babbling brook ambience. Fairly well shaded. Plenty of level tent space in each plot.

Primitive site right next to the river. Beautiful. Love the sound of the river. Didn't camp here but spent the afternoon as we were there on a weekday in October. Won't be able to kayak on this river as it's very rocky and full of boulders. Also note that it's a 1.5 mile drive down a bumpy gravel road.
