Days Inn Tiffin

1927 South State Route 53, Tiffin, OH, 44883, US

Based on this I may never stay at a Wyndham/days in owned hotel/motel again. We booked at a dog friendly hotel which after the counter women threw me out said we never told them we had a dog. Not true. The dog was not her issue. The toilet seat was barely hanging on and when I flushed the backed up toilet I had to jump up when the water reached me. Plugged toilet but a plunger was next to the toilet. Tv remote had no batteries. Room phone didn't work so we could not call anyone. Then we gagged after we opened the Fridge and saw the mold. I have pictures that I will be posting online. As I drove back to the front desk my wife did an inspect. Three lamps, either bulbs missing, burned out or broke. When I got to the front desk there were three people checking in. The front desk women could tell I had an issue and asked what I needed and I showed her the phone picture of the fridge mold. Everyone saw it. I also told her the phone did not work and handed her the open tv remote showing missing batteries. I asked if she had another room and she said no. She said nothing more and went back to checking people in. When she was almost done one lady asked to see the mold picture again. When this happen the counter lady said I needed to leave the motel. I said are you throwing me out she said yes. I said fine give me a refund. She said as soon as I clear the room and give her the key card she would. I cleared the room and gave her the key card and again asked for my refund she said no. call customer service. As I was leaving she said "And you had a dog" I said we book a dog friendly motel and she said no you didn't. We had driven over 100 miles to go to a drive in theater and booked the room to stay over night. There were no dog friendly rooms available anywhere except one 25 miles away that wanted $190 plus a $75 dog fee. I was now late enough that we had to head to the drive in for the 9pm show. Since the first move ended about 11pm we could no stay for the second movie since we had a over 2 hour drive home. We got home after 2am. My card was charged $120 for nothing. What is Wyndam going to do about this. Expedia was no help at all. One person told me I was going to be charged $100 for...

I wouldn't even say it was OK. The entire facility is so old and rundown, I am amazed that Wyndham allows it to stay open. I have stayed at Wyndham my whole life and this was so far below anything I have ever encountered. I called at 2 o'clock to ask if I could check in early. I was told the room was ready but that it was $10 per hour for every hour that you checked in early! Really! I have never been told this at any hotel . Fleabag motel best describes it. The lobby dirty; person who initially agreed with me was very friendly. Entered the room, had a foul smell, the bathroom was dirty. The toilet didn't look like it had been cleaned in a month. There was hair in the shower, which is the biggest turn off for me. There was actually graffiti in the shower on the wall! They had attempted to get some of it off but it only smeared but I could still see some of the letters. Every corner of the room was dirty. They could not have used a swiffer or anything else prior to my check-in. There were so many things wrong that I couldn't even begin to list them all. Basically, it was dirty and tired . I tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. I went to the desk and was rudely told "I will send a man." I said when because I need to take a shower because I have to be somewhere. He very rudely repeated again to me "I will send a Man." They did rectify the situation but I am not used to being treated like that at a hotel. My advice is stay anywhere but here. This was not my first choice because all of the other hotels in Tiffin we're fall. I should've driven the 35 miles and stayed somewhere else. This actually reduced my opinion of Wyndham because if they would allow a hotel like this to stay Open and not provide updates, they aren't practicing good business. By the way, it was not cheap to stay here!. I could've stayed at a really nice Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn for the same price-sadly, this is all I could get for...

This is by far the worst hotel stay I have had in a long time. Got to the hotel, the lobby was sweltering, no AC. The check-in was quick, told my name got a key and asked about the pool (one of the reasons we booked) was told it was down for maintenance. Walked up the stairs, at the top of the steps there were 8-10 lamps in the corner of the hallway. Got to the room and noticed updates and was surprised, at first glance room looked nice. Again no AC on and it was SWELTERING. went to turn on AC and unit display was broken and untradable. The microwave has rust in it. Went into the bathroom and there are nicotine stains on the ceilings, weird stains on the wall in front of the toilet. There was a spider in the corner of the bathroom. Hair dryer cord was covered in grime and dust. The peep hole in the main door is not meant for women to see out of. I'm 5'4 and even on my tiptoes couldn't see out. The back to the remote was missing. Tub was stained and gross looking. Needed ice because we had no cold drinks. Ice machine in the main building did not work, told the woman working front desk, after hearing another guest complain of a locked bathroom door and unable to get into, she told me to try building 2 and 3. Went to building two and did not work. It was dark and did not feel safe so did not try building 3. Overall disappointed and would like my money back. I paid $127 for one night, had no pool, no ice, a dirty room and didn't feel safe at all.

This place is disgusting, by far the worst hotel we've stayed in from Oregon to Ohio. The lobby looks clean and kept up, but then you go to your room and yikes! We had an inside room. The carpet was filthy all up the stairs and down the hallway. The bedrooms are gross and stink. Stains on the furniture. I didn't even take a shower because the tubs/showers look so old and dirty. The bathroom door wasn't properly put on and didn't align properly, in order to shut it you needed to shove it hard, there was a hole in the bottom like someone kicked it. The towels were off white and looked dirty and stained. I pulled a washed cloth down and opened it and it was covered in make-up. Gross. They have no coffee machines in the rooms and the coffee machine in the lobby is out of order. No one was at the front desk when I arrived or left, I had to push the button both times and it looked like the woman was woken up when she came around the corner from wherever she was. When I checked out she looked put out and told me to just leave the keys on the counter - in the open, with the room # on them. I told her I needed a receipt and she seemed put out. We will not stay at another Days Inn.
