Look I hate giving up the best spot to stay in Grayland/Westport area but this is it. They have a Hotel on the beach with rooms that have been updated. Some with kitchenette. Another secret is try to get a room on the second floor. You will thank me later as the view is awesome. They also have cabins. Very cozy and stocked with everything you need. Large fireplace in community area to roast a Buffalo! Can't say enough. Try them once and they will become your favorite too!!

The bigger cabins are nice and cozy. Smaller ones need new windows, but still cozy. I understand given location & seasonal traffic is short. Funds are limited. Motel in back does the job just fine. It's no Hampton, but if you're out here. You're probably here to fish or clam dig as myself. I give 4*'s knowing all these variables. I regularly stay here. Price is good. location is good.

The lady who works at the front was so kind, came in at a later check in and she didn’t mind one bit so that was nice. The rooms were clean and tidy, the ocean front was very close and accessible - all while being quite a quiet area. Highly recommend :)

Had a few issues when we first checked in but were remedied immediately. We rented the 2 bedroom cabin with kitchen for 4 adults and 1 little dog. The bunk beds were pretty damn comfortable actually nice and super soft mattresses. The bathroom has a shower but not great for tall people or large people because of its size which is not any bigger than something you would find in a small compact trailer but there was an abundance of hot water. The kitchen was pretty decent and equipped with basic needs but I suggest bringing your own pans to use because the ones provided have seen better days but I expected that because I'm sure guests really don't care for other people's stuff as well as their own. I myself brought a fry pan and a few cooking pots to use. A bonus was having a dishwasher in the cabin. If you are staying at the cabins there is a indoor cleaning station onsite to use that has a couple sinks and a propane cooker with a big pot to clean your cat h of the day whether it's clams or fish. There is a community fire pit on location which we made use of (bring your own wood or purchase at several places nearby) we brought plenty of wood to last us the 4 days we were there. At the fire pit there are some Adirondack chairs to sit in while you enjoy a quiet evening with family and friends. Sitting next to the fire pit area is a kids play area that has seen better days but no big deal to us we don't have children to entertain. But there are lots of adults that had been staying there with their 4 legged pets walking by after enjoying the beach which is a short walk away. Over all I'd say this is a nice quiet place to stay and enjoy some great quiet time whether it's a solo get away or time with family friends. Oh and one of the more affordable places in the Westport Grays...

I'm not sure how this place has high reviews! Please read and save yourself a lot of disappointment.

The photos are misleading. I booked 2 nights for my family at one of the "family" cabins over spring break. It was advertised as "beachfront". The cabins are certainly not beachfront. They are highway-front. But that would have been OK if the cabin wasn't in such rough shape: Broken windows, the ones not broken were fogged up to the point where you couldn't see outside. The bug screens all ripped. Outside the entry was dirty and neglected. Stains all over the cabin (exterior) walls. No place to sit outside.

It was advertised as a 6 person sleeper. They consider a tiny, slotted, sandy and unpleasant futon a bed for two! Maybe 3 feet wide. There was no place to sit and no table in the "family cabin".

The playground outside is unsafe and falling apart. I ensured that our kids didn't go near it. This should be decommissioned.

After about 45 minutes of trying to convince ourselves that this is going to be OK for 2 days, we packed our bags and left. Kate who was running the front desk was kind enough to understand our concerns and refund us. Thank you for that!

We felt fortunate to have not stayed for...

As far as looks go, it is gorgeous. But honestly it was far from a wonderful experience. There was sand inside the beds when we got there. It was late in the day and we were tired of traveling, so we did not bring the sand in. No ac and it was muggy so it wasn't very comfortable. One of the screens on the window was bent inside while the other was straight up torn or cut, so any air we got was extremely limited. (A fan would be nice to help the air at least move around.) There was spider webs in the corners, some dried blood on the sheets (hydrogen peroxide should clean that up), and the bathroom fan wasn't working properly, so the steam from a single shower actually set the smoke detector off, and the cabanas are not handicap accessible/ friendly. I really don't want to be a negative Nancy, but that's my memory. Our room didn't have a kitchenette, but my brother in laws room did. Not sure what to make of that, but there ya go. I'm not sure I would visit again, especially with the lack of any stores for groceries or nearby restaurants. Location is not very good for a...
