Moonstone Beach Motel — Hotel in Hoquiam

Where to begin?! Our family booked 3 rooms as we were coming to Moclips to celebrate our dad's life. Moclips was his favorite spot & he had always wanted to stay at Moonstone. From the VERY beginning (months prior to our arrival) the staff, especially Kate, was absolutely delightful to work with. So accommodating! When we arrived we were absolutely blown away at the beauty of the rooms, the views and everything in between! I had booked the 2 bedroom family suite and the photos do not do this space justice at all! We had 900 sq. ft. to host all 7 family members in for food, games, superbowl watching party and just relaxing together. There is not a single thing I would change or complain about. Well...except for we wished we had longer there! We will most definitely be making this an annual trip! While the weather was a bit chilly, we had beautiful skies and low wind which made it possible to spread our dad's ashes. The entire experience was something that we couldn't have even imagined! I want to give one more shout out to the staff! The friendliness, compassion and out right care they showed us is beyond anything we've ever experienced at any other destination. If I could give more stars I would! Can't wait...

Nothing brings joy like watching our obsessed Labrador streaking down the beach in pursuit of his ball! |Facing a cold, rainy dreary winter weekend, we booked a last-minute trip to the beach with our dog. After getting cold and wet entertaining the dog, we spent a cozy evening drinking tea and reading….||This was our second trip to Moonstone. We already knew how friendly the staff is; they don’t just tolerate but celebrate our dog on site. This time they went above and beyond, juggling some room assignments to make space for our impromptu visit. Once again, we enjoyed a nearly deserted beach, impeccably clean and tidy accommodations, and cozy room with a well-equipped kitchenette. The unremarkable exterior of the Moonstone does not reflect the updated rooms and decor. Great beds. Towels, bowl and treats for the dog. So much attention to detail shows everywhere. Huge kudos to the management and maintenance team.||Tip: The kitchen is well equipped and squeaky clean — meaning, no staples! There is a mini-mart nearby, and a larger mini-mart in Seabrook — but it’s worth carefully packing all the spices, oils, accessories you will need for...
