Lake George Resort — Hotel in Horton Township

The bedding always smells like dryer sheets - which I appreciate so I know it's clean. Our young children love coming here and having free reign to swim, build sand castles, fish, and play on the playsets on location. The water was a good temperature, and a nice depth for my 7, 5, and two 1 year olds to splash around in - plus they love jumping off the dock. The cabins keep you out of the elements, and the bathrooms are clean. We make pretty scrumptious meals with groceries from the local fruit and meat market up here with what utensils they have available in the kitchen. My husband's family rents out a few cabins next to us, and we make a stop to the local Dairy Queen and Irons Park to round out our stay. Carin is very sweet and accommodating - she makes you feel like family as well as all the other guests. We have seen a loon this trip, a lightening bug or two, some "cruiser" fish (as my sons call them), and some beautiful colors reflected in the lake from the sky. Firewood is provided at a reasonable price, and is good for making smores. I love the huge Weeping Willows - you can find sun or shade...

Just got home from an amazing weekend at Lake George Resort. We planned a low key bachelorette party there! Best idea. Cabins were a little bit older, but it completely adds character and charm to them! We loved them. Outside of bath towels and kitchen towels, they were equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some. The owner Carin was a joy and a wonderful host. Very helpful and kind. We had an absolute blast with her and couple of her friends, as well as a nice time with some other guests the first night. The availability of her kayaks was great! Plus there is a little play set, ping pong, horseshoes, ect. We also loved that in the middle of the lake is a sand bar where a volleyball net sits! We used the kayaks and paddle boards and played a quick game! So much fun. Also it is a short 5-7 minute drive to restaurants, store and more. The lake was beautiful. We will be definitely coming back with our families next summer. Perfect place for a little getaway....

Great experience at Lake George. It all starts when you pull up and Gigi the yellow Labrador comes out to greet you. A hidden gem if you visit the West Branch area. Carun does a great job to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay. The cabins are clean and comfortable and who can beat the view and peace and quiet of being right on the lake for a few days. Great place to bring the family and enjoy your time on vacation for a few days.Definitely a place where once you’ve stayed then you will be back again. Little tip though. If you do stay make sure you bring some dog treats because Gigi loves to hang out with the guests and make them feel welcome while...
