Stayed overnight here with my husband (who comes here often by the way) so I could fish and boat without having to haul and set up our camper for an over nite trip. We stayed in room # 8. The place is an older property as you can tell when you pull up. The beds were clean under the spread with crisp white sheets and pillow cases. The pillows were nice and new. The bathroom was clean with big fluffy towels. For the price and convenience it was great for us. It is retro as it is an older property, without any new renovations. The folks that run the place are friendly and there's a Lil restaurant next door that had good, decent food. I would stay here again for the convenience to be on lake Ouachita at Crystal springs. I think it's mainly used for fisherman who need to be close, but I enjoyed myself here in this Lil outta the way...
Read moreI should have known this place would be awful when I called to make a reservation and was greeted with attitude. The rooms were disgusting. Our bad had a 6 inch sag in the middle of it. Bring your own pillows because the pillow they provide is pretty much non existent. All the rooms are smoking even though I asked for a non. The pool water is brown, not just dirty, but looks like a murky dark Arkansas river BROWN. The AC is a standard window air from the 70s and will keep you up all night. Which BTW will have been turned off before you arrive so plan to give yourself 30 minutes after you arrive to turn the AC on and let the room cool down from the 90...

This was especially nice, since I'd just delt with the really rude reception clerk at Joplin Inn. The room was old, but clean. No bad smells. Dog friendly, which is a plus.
