We came for the Cinco de Mayo Celebration and stayed for the Saturday Night Seafood Special ~ Crab Legs and Boiled Shrimp with all the trimmings! While we were there, we drove around a bit and found that The Brady Mountain Resort and Marina Staff are working hard to complete all the upgrades at the Marina, the Store, and all points in-between! There are new "tiny houses" being set up that will be availabe for rent soon. New furniture is being placed in the lodge rooms and cabins, along with new decor. We also did a walk-about at the Campgrounds to find the perfect camping spot for our RV! The Restaurant and Bar has also been given a "face lift" and being lakeside, the views are fabulous, especially on the patio! The Restaurant has a new and quite extensive Menu! Fresh made to order breakfast, includes (but certainly not limited to) butttermilk biscuits, eggs, any way you like 'em, bacon, sausage, and country ham, hashbrowns, grits, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and the list goes on! My favorite is the French toast with bacon! The Restaurant's full Menu can be found on Facebook under "Brady Mountain Grill", along with a few photos. ||The Restaurant has a new beverage menu too, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty beverages. My favorites are the made fresh, in house, cream soda, and the fresh squeezed lemonade with a splash of cherry! Yum! This summer, Brady Mountain Resort and Marina, Restaurant, and Campgrounds will be "our spot" for some rest...
Read moreIn 2016, I wasn't able to get a reservation, so I assumed this park was the best and most difficult to get into. So, August 2017 rolls around and I finally get to camp there with my family to quite a bit of disappointment.||||The spots are level and wide enough for multiple slides and an awning. Our site had ample parking for our extra tow vehicle and 26 foot trailer loaded with 4 wheelers and jet skis. I used the 50 amp hookup with my 30 amp trailer and the breaker did not pop once. The scenery is great, just as it is all over Ouachita. Here's the bad news...||||There is NO WATER HOOKUP at any of the spots. WTF? I arrived late, just beating a thunderstorm, and had to fill my tank with 5 gallons or so just so we could wash hands and brush teeth. That fact should be in large, bold letters on every website. 3 days of conserving water sucked.||||The LOVIT trail is decent, but there is no real lookout or pretty scenery. However, there are plenty of sand ticks and chiggers to keep you company. The Restraunt is actually pretty good, a bit over priced, but the...
Read moreResort has a ridiculous cancellation policy of 45 days and anything less than that then your not getting your money back. Room was horrible; I signed a waiver stating that I wouldn't damage anything and the jacuzzi tub had a dent in it so that water could get under it if using; the microwave housing was broke and there was significant mold in wet areas. Rented a slip and due to a storm, I thought that I would cancel it and of course; you can not use it if you want and you can cancel if you want but your not getting your money back. Checked out before the office opened and got a phone call asking where the key was and informed them that it was on the bar of the unit. Got nothing but a damn attitude from the girl that called me. Sad that it's this bad considering that the lake is so beautiful and I spend a lot of time there. Next time I will stay somewhere else and will not have my out of town guests stay...
