The staff is ALWAYS friendly prices are cheap. The swimming area is usually clean. BUT ADULTS RUIN EVERYTHING!!! 1. You're not even allowed to drink alcohol publicly but they insist doing it anyway with children and getting belligerent. 2. They chain smoke and throw their cigarette butts everywhere INCLUDING the water. 3. They dont pick up after themselves They leave their trash for the wind to blow around. 4. They are completely unaware of their surroundings and knock over other people i.e Children and then blame it on the water. If you're going to smoke find a place where you're not blowing it in strangers faces CARE enough about others well being MY kids didn't choose YOUR bad habit so respect THEIR GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO HEALTHY LUNGS know the difference between privilege and right! ALSO DONT LITTER PUT YOUR BUTTS IN A SODA CAN OR BOTTLES to later put in the trash if you dont want to keep walking over to the trash ITS CALLED A TRASH CAN, NOT A TRASH DON'T. If you must be drunk to enjoy your life be discrete its unbecoming to yell across the beach " Hey tell your mom to get me a beer!" Your child should not be touching alcohol in the first place period and its not even allowed in the park. The park Ranger needs to Babysit the swimming hole its supposed to be kid friendly but its definitely not on the weekends Adults turn it to a day pub and even though I said something about it the staff said there was nothing they could do unless the park ranger witnessed it. And he was not present at the time. So I write this review hoping that when people visit Findley State Park. They will be more respectful of others. Children play nicely together its in their nature. Its the adults who party too much who dont care about others who ruin things and its everytime we go there's adults smoking and drinking in the swimming area littering the water where kids are trying to swim! Pick an area away from the large groups of people to go smoke, if you must drink be responsible dont get drunk where you cant control your movements. Remember that on the weekends you're not the only ones there if you go on the weekdays then you will be. Please be mindful of the animals and the environment as well they're effected by trash thats left behind. We can all have a wonderful experience if we all follow the rules and respect eachother. Findley State Park is beautiful and could be fun. Im just tired of all the trash and adults...

Rented Primitive camp site #097 and wound up camped in #098 by mistake. No one complained or asked me to move. The campground wasn't crowded when I got there around 1 pm on a Monday. The grass was neatly cut, there are clear signs directing you where to go to find your site, each one came with a picnic table and a fire ring with a very heavy, rusted grate attached. There are trails running behind the primitive camp sites and most sites had trees for shade. Sites 72-87 had no shade trees & I was glad I didn't rent any of those sites for that reason.

My happy girl Pibble had a Great time, chasing raccoons, squirrels and a Deer!! I don't have any issues with my dog running off into oblivion and she didn't display that at Findley either. She loved the steak we cooked over the fire that night and barking at the raccoons scrabbling around our tent as we tried to go to sleep.

Saw some kids and some older people on their bikes, and a rather large group moved in across from me late Monday evening. They were polite and kept the noise from their kids and themselves down after 10 pm - no problem at all. Litter and trash were not a problem: there were dumpsters within an easy walk from my site. Park is clean and well maintained, with a playground and amphitheater near the entrance.

Bathrooms were about what you'd expect to find in a park. Not great, not terrible. The toilets flush just fine and there's plenty of TP available. Going in there barefoot is not recommended.

Had a nice time, learned a LOT about how to plan a camping trip better and would definitely return! Loved the Storybook Trail of the Oak Tree and the Lorax! He speaks for the trees and this is a beautiful place to appreciate them.Oaks, Firs, the place even...

Site 191 is a large corner site, semi level, shaded, with electric, picnic table and fire ring. The site is next to potable water. Prior to our arrival it had rained for days. The far backside, where a tent could normally be placed, had standing water and mushy ground. If you can place a tent here then it would be private. No sites backup to 191 and 190, to the right, is separated by a patch of trees. We opted to come forward and to the left, if looking into the site, of the gravel parking pad. Tall pine trees spaced out perfectly fit our 10X10 tent. We were actually happy with where we placed our tent. We could look out and see passersby, and not be looking at the back of our cargo trailer. After driving through the park and looking at other options site 191 worked great. The clean, spacious bathroom/shower house is less than 50 yards away. One problem, lukewarm water at best. However, my husband said he had hot water. Despite that the ladies have clean showers with good water pressure, large stalls, locking individual doors, a big bench and three hooks in each stall. The laundry was also located at this facility. This is a large campground with only two shower houses. However, other bathroom only facilities are located throughout the park. We heard numerous dogs barking constantly during our visit so pets are allowed. The camp store and science center are nice. Take the time to visit them. We enjoyed our...
