Ignore the road behind and the many people who love it, it's fantastic! George, the caretaker, is personable and helps out when needed. He also makes sure everyone's things are respected and still there, even if gone for fun.
Placed right on the edge of Hyrum Lake, every campsite- even those next to the road- have a view of the water and everyone is walking distance to it, RV and tent sites alike.
Because they water the grounds frequently, it's easy to push in the stakes into the ground. The tent sites are soft and clean, with a picnic table and charcoal grill for every site. And, with all the trees, even on the hot days- like today- the sites are shared and cooler.
I highly recommend this location.boat ramps and docks, easy access restrooms and wide parking at every site.

Read moreThe campgrounds not horrible but they have a stupid gate. They closes at 10 PM so nobody can get in after that which is absolutely ridiculous. I’d run this batteries for my air mattress and when I got back, the gate were locked so I couldn’t get back in it was a bunch of crap on a weekend even 10pm! When you’re paying 50 bucks a night for a tent camping site you should probably be able to get in after 10 PM! Or at least have the Campos be able to open the gate remotely or something. The park employees told me that it was technically for the day use people but when you’re paying for camping, you’re not technically using the use area so it should be open. The campground is nice though, but the whole getting locked out side of the gate and having the farthest campsite away from the gate was...
Read moreLovely little campground, with lots of trees. Plenty of grass for the dog. Bathrooms are very clean and nice. Spots are a little bit close together - like most campgrounds these days. Water and electric hook ups, but no sewer. There is a dump station on site. Right on the reservoir. Very picturesque campground. Would have been five stars except for a road that is right next to the campground and and a few cars go by every hour. Not...
