DO NOT STAY HERE!! ROOMS ARE FILTHY. WAS GUARANTEED MY CARD WOULD NOT BE CHARGED AND WAS CHARGED THE NEXT DAY THOUGH WE WERE THERE FOR LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. Please read this review before you give this place your information. My husband and I came to Broken Bow to go camping and celebrate our 5th anniversary. We are young business owners with a small family and figured camping would be a more budget friendly option. Late that night we realized it was going to be too cold and we had no other choice but to find a hotel for the night. This was going to be an unexpected expense but seemed better than driving home in the middle of the night and not getting to celebrate. We found the Idabel Inn and were told they had vacancy and headed there. When I first entered the hotel it was clear there was some construction going on. There were tarps all over the floor, blinds taken apart and strewn across the floor under the windows and there was a gentleman running around in his socks with a wet paintbrush. There was a small group of people sitting at a nearby table, one of which got up and came around to help me at the front desk (I think her name is Cindy, but I’m not positive.) I immediately was a little concerned by the surroundings and the STRONG smell of smoke, but figured late at night was probably the best time for them to do and updates and that I was probably an unexpected late night visitor. It took Cindy around 15-20 minutes to get me checked and we grabbed our stuff and went up to the room. We were in room 208 and noticed that the door to room 210 was propped open with the lock so assumed there was a guest staying next door (this comes into play later.) As soon as we entered the room my stomach sank It was a tiny room which was mostly taken up by a King size bed, the upper half of the wall above the bed was a dark tinted mirror that I’m still not convinced wasn’t a two way mirror, the bed was made half heartedly with mismatching pillows and the most filthy bed cover I’d ever seen when pulling back the comforter you could obviously see that the sheets slept in and had just been thrown back into place. There was redish/orange splatters on the ceiling, and the floors were obviously filth. The A/C blew air that smelled like straight cat urine. I went to the rest room and there was NO toilet paper, the complimentary toiletries had not bee restocked resulting in a single bottle of mouth wash, there was a soaking wet hand towel piled off to one side of the sink and everything else was just covered in filth that would have to take at least a month to build up. We immediately gathered our stuff and went back to the front desk. When we went down there was a young lady at the front desk waiting to be helped so we waited patiently assuming there was some mistake in us being put in a used dirty room. When the lady in front of us was finally helped we realized that she was complaining of being put in a dirty room too! Cindy put her in a different room and apologized. I was beginning to feel that the odds of us being put in a clean room were decreasing. When it was our turn to be helped I explained the condition of the room to Cindy she rolled her eyes and made a comment about their cleaner “laying down on the job” and went to getting our key changed over for a room. When she hands us back the key she told us that she had put us in room 210! I explained to her that room had been propped open and appeared occupied. She didn’t have much to say after that only that the room was not suppose to be occupied. I told her that we just weren’t comfortable staying in a room that had been open and anyone could have accessed and that we would need a refund. She pointed out their NO REFUND POLICY but then said that she knows we had only been there for less than 10 minutes. She got our their refund policy and highlighted where it said that there was no refund after 10 minutes. ( will finished in a...
Read moreWe stayed here on Sat. nite Oct 2nd. We had fled (literally) from a nasty hotel in another county where we had had 2 nights reservation. We were pretty desperate for a room & everything in Broken Bow & Hochatown was booked, due to it being a weekend, the Bigfoot Festival, and a gun show in the area. Being nervous about the place as we didn’t find too many recent reviews we asked the owner/innkeeper if we could look at the room before we booked & she had no problem taking us to a room with shower only. She then asked if we wanted to look at a different room that had a bathtub but we told her that the huge shower was fine. We paid for our room & brought our bags in. There was a rolling luggage cart available if you needed it. The room was dated in décor but as CLEAN as any room I have ever seen. The sheets were crisp & clean & there were plenty of pillows. The bathroom was spotless and there were plenty of towels. This is a former Microtel now owned by the woman & her husband for the last couple of years. I think they do most of the housekeeping too as she mentioned having to go clean a couple of upstairs rooms when she finished with our paperwork. The room is very basic with a med-sized TV with limited channels but there were enough choices to satisfy my husband who likes to watch TV before he goes to bed. There are no chairs in the room to sit on, no phone, and just a clothes bar instead of a whole closet to hang clothes in. There is a long ‘desk/dresser/table’ attached to one wall, but no chair if you needed to sit at the desk part to write or use a laptop or anything. There were plenty of packets in the bathroom of individual shampoos, conditioner, lotion, and 4 or 5 soap bars if I remember right. She had taken the time to arrange the amenities to look attractive and there were more than we needed. The beds were firm but comfortable and the air conditioner worked GREAT and was responsive to us tapping in our desired temperature for sleeping – which is more than I can say of some hotels. The only down side is that they are not yet using the breakfast area and there wasn’t any breakfast of any kind offered. It was clean & decorated, but not used. THAT was not a big deal to me, and my husband is not normally a fan of hotel breakfasts anyway, but we would have loved to have been able to get a cup of coffee in the morning. I think that the owners should go to the local store and buy a cheap coffee maker, and offer to make coffee IF anyone wants it in the morning. The owner was sweet, down to earth and we enjoyed our overnight stay. It didn’t appear there were many other guests and the hotel was quiet. We got a good nights sleep and I wouldn’t have any problem staying here again or recommending it to someone. I dont know of the have or offer wifi as we didnt ask nor need any during our stay. The hotel is out on a loop that goes around the town. There is a huge gas station called Gasquatch 4.5 miles east on the loop that has gas, a real restaurant inside, a classic car collection to admire, snacks & food to go, and some souvenirs. I recommend stopping in there on your...
