Bear Island is one of my favorite primitive campsites within the Big Cypress National Reservation. The non-paved roads and wild nature is something apart, just to get there, you will completely disconnect from everything. Keep in mind that this is s primitive campground, no water or electric, but if you plan well, great place for a fun weekend. You are in the wild, make sure that you...

Go thru gate close gate behind you. Park on the left by the brown sign. Walk in. Open 24hrs. Bring your own water and food. No bathrooms on hike. No dogs aloud on the trail. No picnic...
