We check in here on January 8th to 11:00 and after coming here many times for the first time we have the D seven which is by the water indeed. The units are newly renovated with all the new Furnitures floorings and cabinets. The only thing I didn't like about the unit is it's three story building. As you enter the landing you have to go down eight steps stairs down to the laundry and Master's bedroom and you have to climb up eight more steps to the kitchen and living room and the common bathroom. And then you climb another eight steps to the second bedroom. And the second bedroom doesn't have its own bathroom except for the common one that you have to go down the stairs to go to the bathroom. This is good for a family with kids who loves to run up and down the stairs. But for kind of middle-aged women that just wanted to relax with knee problems this is not so friendly. Other than that it's really a great unit because you are literally by the water especially the Master's bedroom you can keep your sliding door open to listen to the waves. This location is 20 minutes away from groceries and other stores so you have to stop by the town before you head to your units location so you don't have to keep going back and forth. Kitchen is well equipped unless you love to cook like we do you have to bring your own bigger frying pan you need plastic wrap aluminum foil a bigger dish sponge and hand soap for bathrooms and kitchen and cooking oil or butter. It's a good...
Read moreReally not someplace for elderly or disabled. You pretty much have to book a year in advance for summer and if something in your life makes you in need if ADA (disable abilities) you will be sorely disappointed. We tried calling for weeks prior to the visit only to be told that there were no ADA rooms available and there were no upgrades available. Unfortunately, four months before our scheduled trip, one of our party was diagnosed with metastatic cancer that reached bones and lungs. She fought the pain to get here and is now secluded in a master bedroom for 9 days, as there are stairs to go down to get to the master (with bathroom), or stairs to go up for the living/kitchen, and then further stairs to reach a bathroom on the next landing, then even more stairs to get to the second bedroom. Floor plans were described in the site as having stairs, so book a room for disabled if necessary, but what if at time of booking - so far in advance - that wasn't necessary? Changes can't be made. Not exactly angry, I understand they are fully booked, but the floorplans being set up without a rest room in the main level is kind of ridiculous and it was terribly difficult to get our party into a room and comfortable. Honestly scared if the trip back up the stairs to get them home next week. Otherwise, the area is beautiful and the views are stellar. But wanted others to know - very serious stairs for all...
Read moreWe spent three nights in a two bedroom condo at this resort. We were not in a waterfront condo, as pictured, but further up the hill. It appears to me that the pictured condos are privately owned. Our condo had a tiny Kitchen where it was difficult to have more than one person at a time doing any prep or clean-up work. The pots and pans were old, and not suitable for the glass topped stove and otherwise the kitchen was minimally equipped. There was a toaster and a coffee maker, but no tea kettle, or hand mixer. If you are trying to load the dishwasher, you can't open the refrigerator, as they bump into each other. The dining table was wobbly, and the legs on the table made it impossible to sit comfortably. ||There is a tennis court and an indoor swimming pool at this resort, however the tennis court is in very poor condition, with bad cracks and potholes. The chlorine smell of the pool is very strong, even outside the building, so we were not tempted to use it. Staying here did give us easy access to Port Townsend and Fort Flagler State Park, and had we stayed longer, more scenic spots on the Olympic Peninsula. There are no restaurants within walking distance, so you definitely need to...
