I do NOT recommend this place if you like to sleep! Hard, uncomfortable beds and you hear every step the people above you take! |We stayed here for a week for spring break (minus one night, I will explain why). |We chose this place because they had an indoor pool and a hot tub that we wanted to enjoy with the girls since it was cold outside still. We found out AT CHECK IN that the hot tub was 18 and older only. We should have been made aware of that prior to giving them our money, not upon arrival. | They advertise fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. I guess a cutting board and a knife large enough to cut a pineapple are not a necessity. The pans are shoved into the cupboards and fall out when you open because too many things are in there. It looks like a shelf at goodwill actually as far as mismatched and non organized. The absolute cheapest worn out measuring cups, knives, and spatulas and stuff like that. This place looked clean when you first glance, but if you look close, dust on everything, even light-switch covers, baseboards, and decor, place mats on table had food and crumbs underneath them, so the table was washed without picking the mats off of the table. We dod not complain about the cleanliness because we didn’t want to wait a few hours for the place to be deep cleaned. I just wiped the counters, door handles, light switches and table down. Door to the washer/dryer area is broken, dryer handle is taped on, broken curtain rod in living room, the recliner is broken as well, the foot part only goes up half way to where it should, the blinds were also broken (they did say new blinds were on order). |If you have little kids be VERY careful because the hot water will scald. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The worst thing though, even above all of the things I already listed, is that you hear Every. Little. Sound. from above you. I could even hear someone snoring through the vent, wall, or ceiling, not sure where that was coming from. The floor above you has zero sound proofing and obviously made as cheaply as possible to pass building inspection. |The people above us were up late every night and up at 7:30am every morning. We had two sound machines going on our phones, a fan, and we had ear plugs in with no relief from how loud it was. We did leave two notes on their door kindly asking them to try and walk softer at least between quiet hours. (I very much shy away from confrontation, so approaching them was just not an option). That was unsuccessful. We emailed through airbnb and asked at the front desk if they could help out. They said that the only avenue to take is to call the cops. I asked to be moved to another room, they said they were all full (I do believe that was true due to spring break). We left a day early because we could not take it any longer. Our bodies ached from the hard beds and the lack of sleep was leaving us quite grumpy. I asked for a refund for the last night but they ignored my email and messages, ultimately denying my request. Probably because we gave an honest review of the place. Thankfully airbnb stepped up and refunded us for the last night we didn’t stay. |Stay here at your own risk of being uncomfortable and unable to sleep. If you can sleep through an elephant stampede on a hard bed, I say go for it. If not, this place should be...
Read moreWe sold our home and are traveling with a small 5x8 trailer. When we booked the reservation we asked if we could park it where we stay because it fits in a regular parking space. We were told they thought that would be OK and that they would get back to us with any more information. We never heard back. When we arrived we saw signs that read "no trailers". We went into our apartment and found it stunk like a grandmas house where no one is taking care of grandma. We opened all the windows and within a few hours it left. We went to bed and in the morning found a notice on our trailer saying they were going to tow it that morning if it wasn't moved. I proceeded to put a bunch of locks on the trailer and a note saying we were told it should be OK. Two mornings later we were called by a rep of the resort saying that the police were there and that what were told was false...that it needed to be moved because trailers "can be a safety hazard when cars can't get around them". I told him that wasn't a problem because ours fits in a parking spot. He said we have to move it or they would. To put this in context this is during covid on a Tuesday and there are only like 4 cars in the whole parking lot!!!! He told me that there's a guy down the road that will let me park it for 10 bucks a day. Thats service! (Sarcasm). I wonder what his cut of that would be?
So in a bit I'm going to be calling Walmart and maybe other places far from where we're staying to find a place to leave our trailer and things exposed to thieves.
This place may be called a resort but let's keep it real. Its an apartment complex. I gave it one star for the awesome close proximity to table rock lake.
We will never come here again. I recommend staying at the nantucket. A million times better of a place. The staff over there bends over backwards to serve and the amenities are way better. Really wish we...
Read moreCheck in time was 4:00 PM . We arrived after 9 pm after haven't been at Silver Dollar City all day and after eating dinner.
Building 15 Room 5. We reserved a room over a month ago and show up tonight. We find both beds with dirty/ Soiled sheets and unmade. There is coffee and coffee grounds still in the coffee pot. There's dirty laundry in the washing machine. The air conditioner filter is extremely filthy and full of dirt. And the bathrooms / condo has not been cleaned at all. The outside doors to the back deck will not lock due to the uneven of the walls.
We tried to contact the property manager only to find no one available to answer the phones!
Update: After about an hour we did get ahold of the property manager and they agreed to come and change the sheets. However the sheets they brought we're not clean and we're covered in cat hair amongst other unidentified debris (See Pictures red and black)
Also room 5 is located up extremely noisy stairs that even the stairs rails and the platforms are extremely noisy /rattle disturb everybody when people go up and down them. The beds are hard a rocks with no head boards and they are on wheels.. Yes wheels... Who thinks this is a good idea?
The whole building is settling very badly leaving uneven decks and walkways and the floors are uneven and the laminate flooring is coming apart and places in the bedroom leaving a a very unsafe tripping Hazzard.
I have posted about 18 pictures showing the details upon our arrival to back up my claim. However it appears someone has deleted most of them and (it was not me.)
(I have made an attempt to repost them today 3/26 2018 at 11:39 p.m...)
