Desert Aire has allowed us to retire with a ready-made community. Like many snowbirds, the idea of living somewhere completely new and not knowing anyone, was daunting. We have been welcomed by so many kind and generous people, it really has felt like home from the beginning.
We also love the whole idea of "tiny home" living and DA provides so many community amenities, it makes it easy. We take advantage of the wonderful library, a fully equipped workshop and neighbours who are happy to share tools, equipment or expertise.
The volunteer spirit of the park means there are a huge range of activities and groups organized by residents, all free, or at very little cost. You can cycle, join the choir or a book club, play water volleyball or pickleball, go on group hike, do a watercolor or craft class, just to list a few of the many activities available here.
We love being active and outside, enjoying all the Coachella Valley has to offer. I think it's safe to say, we came for the weather, and stayed...
