I would advise to pick a different place. Check-in should have been my RED flag... The office is a part of the house. The smell from the house and the disgusting piles of "stuff" all over were repulsive. The game room is very run down, there was candy wrappers, spit out candy and food all over the floor. Which is my guess why they have a racoon problem and even told us about a sick one they caught a few weeks earlier. The building is so run down and rotted you can smell it. The fence by the pool is barely standing up and probably hasn't been painted since the 80s, wood also rotted. Our sites were along a ridge, the ground was so unleveled we had the back wheels up on blocks and boards over 26". There was a sink hole over a foot deep in our site, which we had to also put a couple 6x2s over so we would twist and ankle. The 3rd day into our visit the owner finally brought fill to get rid of the hazard and gave us attitude about it. We considered asking to move to other sites, but the alternative was small sites on gravel which were so crammed together we wouldn't have had room to put up awning. Behind our sites was apparently the dump area for cleaning out fire pits, so halfed burned garbage, food remains, etc were looming nearby. The owners seemed nice but obviously not motivated to improve anything. So sad, it was a great place when I was a kid. There are a few nasty kids that run around unsupervised, swearing, terrorizing and causing problems. But from what I gathered, they were from a seasonal site, so they are obviously not going to be held accountable. They are the $$$ that keeps it going. The kids at one point were throwing rocks at a basket hoop. And yes they ricochet off to hit vehicles parked there. All in all a very terrible experience. Best part was going golfing at the nearby courses. Which were amazing. ||I wish I had better pictures, but we checked out the grounds and didn't really want to go away from our stuff for fear it would be...
