Absolute worst motel I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. For 2 weeks members of the staff told me that I could do a late check out, yet when it came time the general manager stated that I could not because "We have other guests that needed to check in for the big game; I'm real sorry about that." Myself and all of the other travel nurses and people that represent travel nurses alike, especially night shift workers, who have been promised things that don't take much effort to do deserve better. A small favor for someone that could help to save your life someday. Now on no sleep I must check out so that the motel can make a few extra bucks by letting football fans check in a little earlier a day ahead of the big game mind you. All that I asked for was 1 or 2 more hours for some much needed rest. I guess I will drive home since this out of towner was made to feel like a second class citizen. I would have been staying another 3 months too bonehead motel owner and staff. That's 3 more months of steady income, but since my time was wasted, I was lied to, and treated so poorly by this motel owner and staff I will never return. I am also going to spread the word to every travel nurse that I can and to whomever else supports nurses to tell him or her not to stay at this motel because it's a slap in the face to all those that just want to give people care and love. I also would like to mention the crackpot owner that yelled at me because my do not disturb sign was on the door for 2 days which is against policy apparently (that was later found out to be a lie as the general manager revealed to me later). I had told the staff that I was a night-worker and could not be disturbed during the day. Didn't matter because they didn't have any notes about that (mentioned it specifically on three separate occasions), and I had to leave the room, on no sleep, so that the room staff that "...didn't speak any English." according to the general manager could clean the room. The owner is the most unprofessional quack I have met in quite some time. The room that I stayed in was disgusting; there were fleas biting my ankles. The room stunk bad, the walls, carpeting, and bathroom were dirty nasty. There was construction in the surrounding rooms, and the construction workers would start right at 7 am. I get that it's an acceptable time legally for construction to begin in the city, but if you're a motel where people come to sleep and relax then you need to hold off on loud noises until at least 9 or 10 am. There was a trail of drywall mud and dust down the hall and stairs, so you could not avoid trailing it into your car even after whipping since it wasn't fully dry (Finally cleaned up the last day I was here). I would not recommend this motel to even my worst enemy. Do whatever it takes to book a room elsewhere; you will be glad that you did. I'm serious, do your best to not stay at this motel you will not regret it that's really...
Read moreIt was very conveniently located off of interstate 80. Immediately I could see that while this hotel might not be new construction, it is VERY well-maintained. Very pretty landscaping/flowers (roses?) out front. Inside the hotel I found everything to be in working order from the public restrooms to everything in my guest room. And talk about clean! ✨ The housekeeping staff must take great pride in what they do. It looks like the rooms had a full renovation not all that long ago. Everything was very comfortable and clean. I loved having the refrigerator in the microwave. And the rooms were actually very large. There is a Mexican restaurant with delicious options attached to the hotel, so that was very convenient. But what I loved the most was the friendly staff. I specifically remember Tiffany, the assistant general manager, being absolutely amazing!! I was there for a wedding (was also helping set it up) and she was so cheerful and she allowed us to delegate some of our last minute crises towards her and she always responded, "Consider it done." We're talking things with regards to the DJ in the reception hall and helping organize the bride and the groom so they didn't see each other and escorting them out and showing them where they needed to walk and when... And boy does she move fast! She was helping the front desk and helping us tremendously from the outside set up to the reception room set up and catering organization. Next thing we knew, she was in formal wear as our guests were arriving. She knew all of us by name. She is the poster child for the hospitality industry I swear. She helped with every aspect of our hotel stay, the wedding ceremony and the reception after. And she did it with a smile 100% of the time! I remember someone else at the front desk named Shena (?)... I don't think she had worked there very long but she had such a warm and friendly personality. She is exactly who you would want to see smiling at you from the other side of a hotel front desk as you check in. But truthfully, every housekeeper I saw in the hallway smiled and said hello also. I just can't say enough great things about this hotel and Tiffany's team. Sometimes people think the more money they spend on lodging, the better their hotel experience will be and this Travelodge proves that that is simply not the case. This hotel is a true gem and it's operated by amazing people who seem to genuinely love their jobs. Keep up the great work! I'll be back! (my only suggestion would be a modest, complementary light breakfast in the morning to get our day started...
Read moreVery disappointed and can not recommend. We live 30min away and only got a studio suite so my 10 week pregnant wife and I could relax in the whirlpool tub away from our 1 and 5yr olds for a night for the first time over a year but lo and behold the tub had no hot water going to it because of issues with the line going to it. Worst of all hotel staff was previously aware of the issue and had left notes not to use room 113 until it could be fixed however we were still put in it and we were not even the first ones. We understand mistakes are made but the handling of the issue was not acceptable. We were told no other suites were available and because we had already paid in full ahead of time we could not get a refund but at check out we would be given a discount. At check out we were told the manager would have to do it and he would not be in until much later in the day. This might of been acceptable but calling him directly later in the day we were simply told because we paid online ahead of time they could do nothing but offer a 50% discount on our next stay.. What if we weren't from anywhere around here or never coming back to the area or simply never want to stay again due to our poor experience? In addition to any unusable hot tub the beds had no comforters but rather a not so thick blanket that was not very comfortable and the pillows were all slightly smaller than normal and extremely lumpy so neither of us got a good night's sleep. The cold water in the hot tub worked but was dirty and left brown spots in the tub and all the water in the room drained super slow so who knows what kind of other deeper issues might be present. Even the 3 screws for the door plates were sticking up so don't walk around barefoot or in socks if you do stay which we simply can not recommend...
