After we had harvest hosted a few nights we needed a stop over with full hookups. You get the resort experience here. Sites are close together but with this type of park that is how it is. Thankfully we had quiet neighbors and there are some shrubs in between to give you a feeling of privacy. The workers worked hard to keep the outside clean, and each site has a garbage can which is super convenient. There is a pool which we never had a chance to use but it seemed popular. We used our own bathroom in our camper so we didn’t check out the bathrooms. We made use of the laundry room, we needed to catch up from being on a long road trip. Machines were super easy to use, but did smell a little musty. Coin machine was broken but you can go to the office and exchange out cash for coins. Everyone in the store was super nice. The biggest issue for us was the ants, small tiny ants. They were climbing up our stabilizers into the rv. I did tell the office when we left so they knew, apparently it is common due to the drought in the area. The ants are looking for water. They recommended sprinkling comet, but at that point we were leaving. It wouldn’t stop us from coming again, I think we would just be more prepared. Originally we had rsvp’d a specific site, but ownership has changed since we booked it and they must not let you pick your spot. Overall this is a super nice place, lots of fun activities and you are close to...
Read moreThe overall campsite is super clean and nice. The staff were nice. The issue was with the other campers. We were surrounded by families with children who were extremely loud and used the WHOLE campground as their playground screaming and yelling. They had the large battery operated jeeps and cars that one can ride in along with electric scooters and electric dirt bikes which all were pretty loud and they drove all over the campground. We almost hit one group of kids who rounded the corner with their car without looking. The parents not only allowed this but promoted it as I'm sure they wanted some away time from their little gremlins. When I walked up to the office to complain, I was told that someone would walk the area and enforce any rules. Since there was no change, I assume no one walked around. If I have to constantly walk up to the office to complain, that isn't making my time enjoyable. We are finding a lot of campsites full of families with kids who allow their children to run amok and be extremely loud with few restrictions. I don't mind children playing, but when all they do is scream and run around the campsite making noise it makes our time less enjoyable. Parents seem to the the problem as they seem to think it's ok to ruin others enjoyment as long as their children are away from their camp not...
Read moreProbably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at this camp site. Restrooms are pretty far for kids at the tent sites 705, 706 , 707 , locations etc . Same goes for the trash cans. Not easily accessible and very small. Also, there are no animal proof locks or lids for the trash cans. I saw animals go in and out all night. Also if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you as there is a very loud freeway and train that wakes you at 3am. The pool was covered in leaves/debris with dead insects. The hot tub water was light brown yellow for two days. The showers had soap scum and dirt. It was very sad to see this campground in the condition it currently is in. Yes there was a lot of wind and heat, but this campsite is obviously poorly managed. I really hope this place turns it around. Definitely requires more staff to help with more frequent cleanings to the pool and showers. There also needs to be more fair warning about how far the walk to the state beach is due to construction closures. It would also be nice for them to cut the grass and weeds overtaking the “path” at the beach. 2 nights was more then we could bare of this place. Over a $100 a night for this place is ridiculous and I guarantee you there are better places then this in the 50...
