My husband and I were so impressed with this resort! The grounds were immaculate. It had a welcoming feel. It was a fantastic experience where we could forget about our home, lives and enjoy each moment. It was quiet, an old Florida feel and such comfort! We had room 4 which was a kitchen, dining area, king size bed, and bathroom located near the dock. It was clean, up kept and we enjoyed our entire time there! My husband brought fishing tackle so that he could fish from the dock and was extremely happy!! Next time he wants to bring his small boat so that he can dock it there. Upon our arrival we were greeted and checked in quickly and efficiently. Our questions about the area, restaurants, etc. were answered and he said he was only a text away if we had any questions at all. This was impressive to me and I was grateful. The sunsets were gorgeous and we were happy we brought our camera. We did not use the pool or the many hammocks and chairs on the grounds but we're happy they were there. We enjoyed the porch area just outside our room and we are looking forward to coming back next year! This resort does not charge for parking or a resort fee which we appreciated and is located 10 to 15 minutes from a Publix in case you would like to purchase items for the kitchen. CVS is near the Publix too. You can tell that they really take pride in every area of the property, rooms, pool and grounds. What a joy!!

This resort is great! We have 4 adults (2 grandparents and 2 parents) and 2 kids (6 and 13). These small bungalows are perfectly priced, laid back, and "homey". The grandparents had a handicapped accessible bungalow that included a bedroom, full sized livingroom with couch and recliner, very nice sized bathroom, dining room, and a kitchen with everything needed. Our bungalow had 2 queen sized bed, a full kitchen and a bathroom/washroom. The bungalows are not elaborate. However, if you are looking for a laid back atmosphere, great pricing, and ocean access THIS is the spot. EVERYONE is extremely nice, informative, and welcoming. The kids have the ability to snorkle off the outlook area, they have a small boat ramp, kayak and bike rentals, small shallow "beachy" area to play in, and some absolutely BEAUTIFUL views of the sunset on the gulf. We will be back. I cannot thank the manager more for quickly calling back and making information available to me. This place is peaceful and serene. The only reason I didn't give full 5 stars is because the air conditioners were dated and did not keep the rooms as cool as hoped. However, we are not spending much time in the rooms, so its doable! I absolutely recommend Coral Bay Resort.

As professional photographers, we had the honor of capturing a breathtaking sunset wedding at Coral Bay Resort in Islamorada—and it was pure Florida Keys magic. 🌅💍 The intimate waterfront setting, the golden light reflecting on the ocean, and the love in the air made this wedding truly unforgettable. Every moment felt like a dream, and we were there to preserve it all with heart and intention. Based in Miami, but always ready to travel—we specialize in destination weddings and capturing moments that matter, wherever they happen. Planning a wedding in the Keys or beyond? I wrote another review on Trip Advisor that has disappeared, but it's worth reposting if it helps someone else. Years ago now (2005?, thereabouts), wife and I traveled from Seattle to see Fla family in south Florida for xmas, and booked 4 days at Coral Bay for afterward - paid in advance, while noting to them we would miss the first day (but would, obviously, pay for it), and arrive late the second day. No problem, they said, as they keyed in our credit card. We arrived as scheduled about 8 pm to find management had just given our room away to people who stopped in without a reservation - how lucky for them! Mgt would not ask those people to leave, but they did offer us use of a condo on a nearby parking lot. Why not put the transient folk in the condo, and let us have our paid-for/reserved room so we could have the water view we were paying for? Can't do that, they said. Angry/tired, we left Coral Bay to keep from giving them a dime of our money (we got a refund later). But, try and find a room on the Keys during xmas week. Very Bad Trip ruined by Coral Bay. Wife cried, and she's not a crier. Reminder - all was paid/scheduled/reserved in advance, this was not a "mistake" and Coral Bay not only tried to double-book at our expense, but they wouldn't do any reasonable fix for us, the prepaid reservation-holders, when they got caught. Owners responded to original Trip Advisor review to say they'd changed mgt (so all should be forgiven?), but I'll never forget my trip to Coral Bay Resort. Try this place...
