Beautiful area for camping however I felt targeted by the camp hosts. They were constantly over at our site (we were not breaking any rules) harassing not only us but our other relatives as well. Constantly doing a campground check and threatening us with a $180 fine for leaving our water coolers out on the table, got reprimanded for leaving bug spray on the table, told that if we didn’t put our small gas can and charcoal coals (we Dutch oven cook) that the bears would come in and raid our area. After about the 5th visit (yes! 5 visits in 1 day!!) I asked them to just go away and leave us alone (as we were not breaking any rules) they rudely threatened us again that we were a 911 call away for being rude. I’ve camped up here many times throughout the years and never had any type of problems until this year. The camp hosts were very rude, doing constant inspections of our camp site, threatening to fine us. We witnessed many campers that packed up and left Saturday morning bc they had been fined $180 for leaving hand soap out on their tables, leaving bug spray out during the day, etc. will not be going back any time soon and do not recommend you go either!! Went to relax and ended up stressing about the damn...

Beautiful place. My family has been coming here for years. The camp hosts however have become increasingly mean. They yelled at my son for riding his power wheels toy. I get it if they are not allowed that's okay but I feel it uncalled for to yell at a child. My daughter was taking our dog for a walk, the camp host stopped her and very sternly told her if the dog went to the bathroom she would have to pick it up.... she had doggy bags in hand. I went to talk to the camp host about how the spoke to my children they said they did nothing wrong at that point I got upset. They proceeded to tell me they felt sorry for my kids and my husband should find a new wife. I love coming here. It holds so many fond memories for me as a child but I am not sure the beauty of this place is worth being treated this way. We stayed in D loop from July 7th...

Agree with previous reviews about harrassement from the camp hosts. We went to Yellowstone for the day and when we returned we were met with the Sherriff who issued us a $180 ticket (considered a class B misdemeanor) for leaving a cooler out(during the day). When we asked why didn't get a warning first, she said she left a note. By the time we saw the note the Sherriff was already there. The camp host had also gone through our tents to look for any food we might have stored in the tent. We have camped at this camp ground for 25 years...But 100% will...

We stayed here in the group campsite in early July 2021 during a Scout travel camp, for five days. We were doing stuff in Yellowstone, and this camp was in the perfect range. There is plenty of room, our girls were able to swim and wade in the Buffalo River (which is the southern border of the camp), and there was great infrastructure for getting our cooking done. Lots of nice tent sites. The camp hosts were wonderful people as well, and had a bunch of intel about the area. I would gladly stay here again, with a group, or just family.

We Loved the Buffalo camp ground! It is about half an hour from Yellowstone's west gate. We stayed the first week in June for four nights. We started in B-12, which was a perfect pull through for our trailer and it was right by the river! We decided to stay another night and moved to A-8, just a row down which had the same perfect pull through and view of the river. The camp host was very friendly and informative and a pleasure to talk to! We will be returning to this campground for sure!

We have camped ar Buffalo every year for the last 12yrs.. It is absolutely lovely! You are able to tube down the river or ride your bike thru the loops. We always go to Yellowstone while there but could stay in the campground the whole trip. We usually stay for two weeks. The bathrooms and sites are always clean. They have one loop with electrical. We have stayed in several different loops and are always happy. We've eveb seen Moose a few times! Best place to stay on the area!
