An Unforgettable Family Getaway at Mountain Springs Lake Resort Our recent stay at Mountain Springs Lake Resort was an absolute dream, creating memories our family will cherish for years to come. It was the perfect escape to reconnect and enjoy the natural beauty of the Poconos.
The cabin was beautifully appointed and felt like a true home away from home. We especially appreciated the thoughtful layout, with a private bathroom conveniently located adjacent to each bedroom, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. The highlight for me was the spacious porch, where I spent many peaceful moments in an Adirondack rocker, taking in the breathtaking, serene view of the lake.
We were thrilled with the variety of activities right at our fingertips. Our adult children loved gathering around the fire pit to build crackling campfires, where we spent evenings roasting marshmallows and making delicious s'mores. We also took full advantage of the private dock, spending our days out on the water in the rowboat, exploring the lake. Inside, we reconnected the old-fashioned way, gathering around to play board games as a family.
The resort's location is ideal. It was a short drive to the local outlets for some shopping, and we easily found time for horseback riding, browsing charming antique shops, and discovering unique candle shops in the area.
Mountain Springs Lake Resort offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. It's a place where you can truly relax and enjoy quality time with family, all while being perfectly situated to explore everything the Pocono Mountains have to offer. We can't wait...
Read moreJust spent a weekend here, and have to admit we were very disappointed with our stay. First of all, the check in lady was rude and not very welcoming. I had a few questions and she quickly rushed me through check-in and handed me our packet. I also felt their website was misleading, and what we paid was not worth the price of staying for the weekend. I was told there was “a lot to do here” by the check in lady, but everything was closed and the only thing available was a quick 2mile hike around the lake. None of the boats or fishing gear were available for rent, which we were very disappointed by. Also there is no food available on site, you have to leave the resort every time you want to eat, and everything was about a 10-15min drive away depending on what you wanted to eat. Our cabin was beautiful and clean, which we loved. We also enjoyed the fireplace. But that was the only thing we enjoyed. For almost $1000 for a weekend, we were better off staying at a hotel somewhere else and looking for the public hiking options. However, we booked this trip over a year ago and had already out down a deposit so we were obligated to still go. We rebooked for the SAME weekend a year later and the price had gone up by $300-400 extra! Which I truly don’t understand, because as previously stated, there was not much to do and not much available. The resort was empty, and it wasn’t a busy weekend/holiday weekend so I’m not sure what could have made the price go up. I think this might have been more worth it had we been here for a wedding with a bigger group of people. Overall, very disappointed and would...
Read moreThis was the second year my family stayed at Mountain Springs Lake Resort. Our first year in 2024, we stayed on the West side in a Lakeview cottage nestled in the woods. We had a trail down to our own personal dock from the cottage and the west side beach was just a short walk away! Having never been here before, we were blown away by the peace and quiet, friendliness of all, and knew we fell in love with this home away from home.
This year we stayed on the East side in another Lakeview cottage. This time, our cottage also had an approved firepit which we absolutely loved and missed from last year and it was footsteps away from the lake. The east beach again was just a short walk away as too was a nature trail leading up to the Orchard, ping-pong tables, and a second park to explore. Every morning was a treat to sit by the lake with a coffee and watch the calm of the lake, the grazing doe and her fawn and all the ducks swimming by. Pictures alone can't quiet do MSL justice and neither can words.
If you want to go somewhere to enjoy the peace and quiet in nature, this is your place! If you want to venture out into the world from where you are staying nestled in nature, you certainly can as it is close to alot of shopping, food and entertainment places to explore. Waking up everyday to that view and that peace is indescribable. My family loves it here and we already look forward to coming back again in 2026! We didn't even make it down the road after check-out before my kids (7 and 5) to ask when we could come back to the cabin to stay,...
