Weyrich Woods Lodge — Hotel in Jackson Township

Adorable cabin in the woods! Pros (& they are big): amazing, private, very well heated pool, hot tub, horse stables next door, comfy beds & lots of them, and did I mention the pool?!? The kids lived in the pool. It was 5' deep also, so it was a real pool, not a kiddie one. Cons: water is very rusty (but just bring some gallons of drinking water to remedy!), privacy is a bit lacking due to open loft and door cracks that were a bit on the wider side (just something to be aware of if traveling with many families)... And no internet, no cell service. Zilch connectivity for me, and very spotty on and off for my friend who has Verizon. The courteous, helpful owners do provide a cabin phone so you're covered in emergencies, but make sure you let people know you're really going to be off the grid when coming here and definitely don't count on being able to get texts or emails, and download the area maps before coming. It was refreshing to not be constantly tethered to my phone going off and just be able to be with family, but a few texts received upon my return to civilization required a bit of apology. 🙂 It was worth it though. Love the pool and the lodge. The driveway is rough for cars. It is meant more for trucks and suvs. But the lodge is lovely and provides a great gathering space. The kitchen is somewhat small, but with good coordination you can still get meals on the table without too much issue. Love the decor and the way it is divided up into different spaces. The upstairs bathroom has a step up to the toilet, which should be changed to avoid injury. One of our guests fell when she turned to flush the toilet and ended up breaking her tow and twisting her ankle. Ouch! Definitely impacted her weekend. But the overall layout and feel of the lodge is lovely and bucolic and definitely worh a visit. Morning stretches in the sun around the pond were also a great bonus! This is a good getaway spot for groups...

My men’s group had an amazing time at the lodge! From the time we arrived to the time we left, it was incredible. It is a very nice size for a group of 10-15 people, if you don’t mind sharing a bed. The living room and kitchen are big and open. The basement is very cool. We loved the table shuffle board game. A big hit with our group.
