I typically don’t write negative reviews, especially for a place that seems relatively new, but my experience here was so far from what was promised that I feel compelled to share. I even waited for the manager to call me, as promised, by yesterday, but I still haven’t heard from anyone.|Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels, resorts, and unique accommodations, I consider myself well-versed in what to expect, especially when booking a splurge. After staying at four other locations during this trip—one of which was a “glamping” experience that far outshone this place—I can confidently say this was a major letdown. The fact that this was our last stop and the one we were most looking forward to made the disappointment even worse.|We booked this stay at over $700 per night. We were traveling with friends in a group, sharing one car, and planned this as a special birthday celebration. This was the grand finale of our trip, so we splurged, hoping it would be the highlight of our journey. I had been following Tammah on social media, seeing pictures of their “fabulous” domes and property featuring firepits, s'mores, outdoor games, and other amenities that made it seem like the perfect place to wrap up our vacation. However, right from the start, it was clear that this property wasn’t living up to the hype.|The "Welcome Center" was underwhelming. It felt more like a storage space than an actual guest service area, with a check-in desk, a couple of tables for breakfast, a small area for guests, and a staff cleaning station all jammed into one tiny area. The welcome center, at other points of our stay, smelled strongly of weed, which wouldn’t have been an issue if it weren’t for the fact that there were small children in the common space. This wasn’t the first impression we expected.|When we entered Dome 7, our initial reaction was positive—it's a cool setup. But it was unbearably hot, so we immediately turned on the AC. We left for the evening, and when we returned late at night, the room smelled absolutely awful. My husband thought it was a musty odor from the AC, but I thought it smelled more like a dead animal. I immediately called the emergency number, but the response was dismissive. They acted like I was bothering them and asked if I wanted them to check it out—as if, when someone is calling an emergency line, it’s not clear that they want a response.|We didn’t want to make a big deal out of it and opted not to have anyone come out. We went to bed with the foul smell lingering and no follow-up from the property. The next morning, I reported the issue again, and they assured me maintenance would take a look. When we returned around 4 PM, the cleaning staff was spraying Febreze in the room. I asked the maintenance man what had been done, and he said they’d worked on the AC. As it turns out, Dome 7 is the only one without a mini-split AC unit, relying on a portable AC with a window piece that dangles underneath the dome—definitely not ideal, and certainly questionable in terms of safety and functionality.|Later, I spoke to Cora, who explained they had “set off a bomb” in the room to address the smell. I pressed for details because, frankly, I don’t want to breathe in chemicals, especially in a poorly ventilated space. She did follow up with my husband about the ingredients in whatever they used, but the lack of transparency beforehand was frustrating. And, to make matters worse, the smell never went away. |The most disappointing part of this whole experience was the utter lack of empathy and professionalism. Instead of taking our concerns seriously, the staff was dismissive and seemed to hope the problem would just go away. They offered to find a new hotel and refund the first night, but given that we were traveling with a group, that wasn’t an option. What I wanted was for them to simply acknowledge the issue, take it seriously, and maybe walk into the room with us to actually smell the problem and resolve it.|To add insult to injury, the only time they tried to reach the manager was when we were spending our last moments with friends by the “unlit” firepit (which they claimed couldn’t be lit due to “wind”—even though there was no wind whatsoever). At that point, I told them I didn’t want to deal with this issue while we were trying to enjoy our last night and asked for the manager to call the following day. That call never came.|In my opinion, this is a property that’s riding on influencer hype and high social media posts, using free publicity to lure people in with pictures that don’t reflect the reality. It felt like the place wasn’t really ready for guests, and certainly not worth the price. Our previous experience at North Yellowstone Under Canvas was so much better—more affordable, better service, and a true sense of community.|If you're considering staying here, I’d suggest you think twice. While it might look good online, it’s a far cry from the experience it promises. The property is not well-maintained, the staff is unresponsive, and the atmosphere is lacking. Save your money and go somewhere that truly values its guests.|Additional issues that need addressing (see pictures):| • The shower gets water everywhere and is dangerously slippery. | • The toilet barely flushes and requires multiple attempts. | • There’s only one hook in the bathroom, so there’s nowhere to hang anything. | • Some canvas sections were pulled off, exposing insulation. | • No ventilation in the room, and you can’t open the windows because of bugs. | • The maintenance area near Domes 7 and 8 is an eyesore, full of tools and machines. |I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won’t...
Read moreEDIT 7/14- Manger contacted me and compensated us for our distress. I don’t like to write negative reviews, especially for a new property, but my experience at Tammah was so disappointing that I feel it’s necessary to share. After waiting for the manager to call, as promised, by yesterday—I'm still waiting. I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in all sorts of accommodations, so I know what to expect when splurging on a property like this. But this stay, our last stop after four other places on this trip, was a major letdown. We booked this stay at over $700 per night—this was a big splurge for us, especially since we were traveling with friends. We’d been looking forward to the last two nights of our trip here. I’d followed Tammah on social media, seeing all the updates about their domes, firepits, games, and other fun amenities, which had us excited to finish our vacation here. Unfortunately, reality was far from the hype. The Welcome Center was underwhelming more like a storage area, with a cramped check-in desk, breakfast tables, and cleaning stations. The place smelled of weed at times during our stay, which would have been fine if there weren’t children around. When we arrived at Dome7, it looked great at first, but it was incredibly hot, so we immediately turned on the AC. When we returned to the dome that evening, the smell in the room was absolutely unbearable. My husband thought it was a musty odor, possibly from the AC, but I thought it smelled like a dead animal. It was nauseating. I immediately called the emergency number, but the response was frustratingly indifferent. I felt brushed off, almost as if I was an inconvenience. I was asked whether I wanted someone to come check it out, as if the issue wasn’t urgent. Of course, if I’m calling an emergency line, I expect it to be treated as such. We didn’t want to make a fuss, so we slept in the room despite the smell. The next morning, no one followed up with us, so I reported the issue again. Later, I saw the cleaning lady spraying Febreze in the room. The maintenance man said they worked on the AC, but Dome7 is the only one without a mini-split AC it uses a portable unit that hangs the part meant for a window under the dome (seems questionable and not up to code). Later, I learned they set off a "bomb" to address the smell, I immediately asked for more details because I didn’t want to be inhaling chemicals in a poorly ventilated space. She followed up with my husband about the odor bomb, but it was clear that no one had bothered to inform us beforehand. No one asked if we had allergies or if we had concerns about the chemicals being used. It was done without our consent or input, and that’s a major issue. But even with all this effort, the smell never fully went away. The whole experience left me frustrated. They offered to move us or refund the first night, but that wasn’t practical since we were traveling with a group. What I wanted was for the staff to take our concerns seriously, which they never did. The only time they attempted to reach the manager was when we were spending our final moments with our friends by the "unlit" firepit (which they claimed couldn’t be lit due to “wind”—though the air was perfectly calm).I asked the manager to call me in 2 days, but once again, no call ever came. This property feels like it’s more focused on influencer hype than delivering a quality guest experience. For the price, it’s not worth it. We had a far better experience at North Yellowstone Under Canvas, and I wouldn’t recommend Tammah to anyone.Additional issues The shower is slippery, and water gets everywhere, The toilet requires multiple flushes, Only one hook in the bathroom no space to hang anything, The canvas was pulled off, exposing insulation, No ventilation in the room; couldn’t open windows because of bugs, The firepit was unlit, and there was no sense of community. Place felt empty, Outside maintence area is an eyesore and right outside of dome 7 and 8,Save your money and look elsewhere. Tammah didn’t deliver on any promise and was a total...
Read moreFull disclosure: I hate writing bad reviews. I truly love the concept of Tammah & I want them to do well because I believe in what they are trying to do. I tried to call them to sort everything out peacefully but the girl who was awful to us answered and claimed I couldn't talk to the manager and couldn't take a message or get in touch with management at all. She said there's no absolutely no way to reach a manager at all so here I am. ||I truly hope that's a lie; as I would hope that Tammah Management would hold themselves to a higher standard than being completely unavailable even just to take a message and call back. Im still open to coming to a reasonable & peaceful resolution and taking the review down if the manager wants to. Here it goes. ||The first night was amazing.||The staff working on the eve of 5/29 were so kind and inviting and helpful.||We were raving about the place saying how much we want to support this business and come back and refer our friends. Night 2 was great too; the guy working the eve of 5/30 was kind and professional and clearly cared deeply about tammah and its success and well being. ||||Night 3 on May 31st was seemingly normal because my partner didnt tell me what happened to him at first to keep the peace. This morning 6/1 @8am we are leaving & he proceeds to tell me that the most absurd thing happened last night on 5/31 around 8pm.||He started to grill our food last night and the girl working the eve of 5/31 started screaming at him saying hes not allowed to grill because he doesn't have a reservation. It was 8:15pm and we were starving; I truly don't understand why a staff member would scream at him and tell him to hurry up. The first night the guy working heated the grill up for us and everyone was out there cooking and having a great time. It was so shocking to us after how great and normal night 1 was to be treated like that. ||She threatened him and told him he only has 15 minutes to grill because she wants to get off work early. Thankfully a couple came by and saw her screaming at him and stood up for him and then she stopped.||I paid $602 a night before taxes for this place and to hear that my partner was treated that way while I was inside is ridiculous and Infuriating. She told us multiple times that she wanted to get off work early and she never brought smores out for us or offered to help us with anything. She also informed us that she only works here for the free housing and that she is not staying long term and is going somewhere else next. ||She only cared about herself and was willing to be awful to us to make sure she got her way. We rushed and left early and she got her way and got off early. This person clearly does not care about the people that come to enjoy tammah or about tammah at all. She was easily the most openly selfish person I've ever met. ||I was so kind to her and my partner was too even after she was horrible to him. Im happy we were kind to her anyway because she obviously needs love.||It was a day and night difference between how we were treated the first night and the last..now we will never come back. Ever.||We are nice people and we truly did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment. I am so disappointed in what I thought could be a really special place. I cannot justify spending over $2000 for 3 nights and being treated this badly. ||If I knew how bad it was here I wouldn't have ever spent money on this place. This was my first time In Wyoming and my first time in a geodome & unfortunately the 1st experience was tainted by the insane lack of ethics and potentially lack...
