This place is exactly what it claims to be. It’s a gravel lot with some hook ups and laundry. So for that, I can’t really fault the actual owners or campground. This place is serviceable. I am pretty surprised at all the reviews saying this place is quiet. Because that’s one thing I disagree with and would’ve liked to know before I came here. There are constant trains running right across the street. Which you also get stuck waiting for on the road all the time when you’re trying to get into downtown Jacksonville. There’s a barn next door that I guess gets rented out for parties and plays music until like 10 PM on random days of the week. They also are doing construction on the property every day, which typically isn’t overly noisy, but shakes your camper a lot.
The wifi isn’t great. And if you have AT&T you have no cellular service. The campsite was also filled with cigarette butts, beer bottle caps, and other trash when we came. Granted, we came pretty last minute.
Also, the area feels safer than proper Jacksonville, but it still doesn’t feel that safe. That’s this whole...
Read moreNot a bad place, been here a few months and as the previous reviews are about the construction. It’s still going on but not everywhere just in new areas they are developing for more parking spots. The front is paved and there is now crushed asphalt everywhere and even in the lots for the campers. I honestly can’t complain. The owners have went way out of their way to address my concerns and make me happy. I have even moved to different lots trying to find what I like and as I now have found it, they check on me to see I’m still happy. Being a long term stay it’s important to me to find that spot which makes me comfortable and happy. The guest here are all really nice and say hi to us, which is strange to me because we’re not used to the kindness. I feel the laundry room should be closed in and there should also be a closed in mail room. Maybe in due time. As well as a shower room/public restrooms so if a guest camper breaks they have options till it’s fixed. I do see potential as they are nice owners and do try to accommodate...
