Loved this campsite. Nice and quiet. Not too much road noise after 8:30 pm. Enjoyed the shady tree campsite and privacy of the camp site. Proximity to the beach side of the road was a short bike ride or car ride or hike. Awesome beach! Lots of shells and room to explore, hike or bike. If you have kayaks or paddle boards really nice spot to drop during highline. If not Kayak Amelia is just a very short drive where you can rent kayaks and explore. Loved everything especially the benefit of sunset on the creekside and sunrise on the beachside! We loved the State Park Rangers at check in because they were extremely friendly and informative of what there is to do! Highly recommend!

I chose Little Talbot Island State Park as my destination for my first camping trip in years. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The staff was friendly and informative. I stayed in spot #2 and loved that location. It provided privacy but it was close enough to the immaculately clean bathhouse. As a lone female camper my safety was never in question. The added security of needing a gate code to enter the campground was a plus. The beach was across the road (A1A) and easily accessible with plenty of parking available. I am so impressed with this State Park and will definitely visit again.

This campsite is haunted!!! I am an experienced camper who camp like 30 days in a year. And this is the only time I packed up in the middle of the night! It says it’s fully booked but when we arrive there, nobody was there. The entire campsite gave us a horror movie vibe! Crazy amount of mosquitoes, and saw a huge pythons near our site, the entire camp gave a crazy ill uneasy feeling. Saw a big roach in the bathroom. Everything felt terribly wrong. In the end we packed and left. I’ve never felt so scared in a campsite!

This really is, I think, the best campsite in Florida. I love this campground. My family has driven 6 hours to camp here in the fall for the past 6 years and I have so many happy memories of launching flying lanterns, playing on the beach, biking the trails, and hanging out at the playground at night and stargazing. Bathrooms are quite clean for a campground, and water and electricity is available at each campsite.

Due to being right on the river, it has a tendency to flood pretty bad, but in recent years they've removed the campsites with that problem. There is a boat launch and dock for those who enjoy fishing and the beach is right down the road for those who enjoy swimming (although also not too far away is this awesome driftwood beach, highly recommend that one)

If you're a first time camper be sure to camp here in the winter or late fall, summer camping in Florida is suicide with the heat, humidity, sun, and bugs. But in winter none of that...
