The Jay Spot — Hotel in Jay

So much more than we expected - a 2 in 1 review! I spent a long weekend at The Jay Spot with my family last summer. It was very cozy and great for the kids to get their zoomies out on the trails and in the beautiful stream. After the kids went to bed, my wife and I relaxed in the hot tub firepit combo, sipping a cocktail and enjoying being surrounded by the woods and stream. What an amazing idea.

I loved it so much, that I recently brought my daughter up again for a couple nights to ski at Jay. 10 mins from the mountain, and 2 mins from Jay Village Inn Restaurant for the best big portion post-skiing dinner. This is the perfect place for a family getaway. The house is stocked with everything you need, is very clean and extremely safe and comfortable. There is plenty to do on the 7 acre property such as exploring the trails and woods, reading by the babbling brook (complete with waterfalls), enjoying s’mores by a fire and sledding down the nice slope in the backyard. It’s a quick 10 minute drive to Jay Peak for skiing and visiting the indoor water park. There are also ample X-C skiing and snowshoeing trails a few minutes away. I had a wonderful experience at The Jay Spot. The reservation process was simple, getting there was easy, and the stay itself was incredibly comfortable. I slept well, easily started up the hot tub, and relaxed by the brook. The house is modern, well-equipped, and had everything I needed.

Eric, the host, was easy to reach and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I spent a day snowboarding on the mountain, then came back to a peaceful, quiet setting.
