Once a year, my rather large family gather from all corners of the state for a weekend camping trip. This year we decided to try out Forrest Ridge Campground. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The owners were incredibly accommodating and friendly.

To start off, my wife and I got in very late (around 12:30 AM) from Philadelphia. We had let the owners know in advance that we were going to be very late, and they still stayed up to get us checked in. The cabins were absolutely immaculate, and very cozy. Each of our cabins also had a personal hot tub, which were all very well maintained. The grounds were also VERY well maintained and pristine. There was no shortage of things to do for our nieces and nephews (age ranges 2-12). This was particularly great, because the adults and kids could all have a great time. The pool kept everyone preoccupied for a good while, and there are a ton of games in the pavilion area for both kids and adults. We also took advantage of some fishing and light hiking at Buzzard Swamp (don’t let the name fool you). Our only complaint was that the weekend went by too fast. Everyone had a great time, and chalked it up as a success. We will likely be visiting again. It’s a great set up for families, and very kid friendly. I could also see this as a weekend getaway for couples to enjoy some R&R. I’d highly recommend giving Forrest Ridge...

Because of Covid-19 my family thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to spend our Christmas in a cabin. We chose the Blue Ridge cabin and am glad we did so. It has the best hot tub I've ever been in hands down with lights, a fountain, and fits at least four adults. The cabin itself was pretty awesome as well. It has a spacious bathroom with a medicine cabinet, decent size living area with a full kitchen, fireplace, two futons, dining table, tv and DVD/VHS player. They have a cabinet full of DVDs on site, just ask them where it is. The bedroom is fairly small but adequate. It has a bed, night stand with a lamp, and a big dresser with an alarm. Don't even bother opening the double doors because it's not a closet haha. The biggest downside for us was one of the futons is unusable as a bed. It has metal rods sticking up out of it. The bed and other futon were very comfortable however. They also had only one trash bag for us.. I'm sure you can call and ask for more, but would think they'd give you at least a few. I'm usually very outdoorsy, but didn't really get the chance to wander around because of the snow storm we had. We will be coming back during the summer to check out what more this campground has to offer! I think this cabin is pretty affordable for...

To celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to relax for a couple of days away from our busy schedules. By word of mouth, we heard about a great campground called Forest Ridge near Marienville that offers cabins with hot tubs. Since we both enjoy the outdoors and hot tubs, this seemed like the perfect place for our vacation. Boy were we right! The cabin (Adirondak) was very clean and still had a rustic feel. It was equipped with a full service bathroom and kitchen. The cabin even has a DVD player which was useful on rainy days. We were pleased to see that other guests were polite and respectful which made our time there that much better. The whole experience was excellent and very relaxing. We even bought a couple of souvenirs at the gift shop.

The owners, Lynn and Brian, are very nice and accommodating people. From the time we arrived until we left, they were always smiling and offering suggestions about the many activities/attractions near the campground. If you have enough time, they can even tell you some funny stories they've accumulated over the years of managing the campgrounds.

Our only regret is that we wished we could have stayed longer. We will...

We recently had a 2 night stay in the Rocky Mountain cabin toward the end of the week. We have a family of four, and we were super excited to be able to include our dog too! My wife & I had tent camped here a few times & stayed in a cabin once well over a decade ago, and it lived up to and surpassed the fond memories! Everyone we encountered form the owners/staff to the other campers was really friendly. The cabin was spacious, clean, And incredibly cozy. We had a really nice warm welcoming basket with some treats & a note. I absolutely loved the view out of this cabin. All the amenities! The dog park was fantastic to let our girl run around. We all had fun in the game room, especially with the air hockey table and the ring game on the wall. The kids loved the pool, the Gaga Ball pit, & the hot tub. My son & I played the giant chess game. It was great to buy firewood right on site, the store is stocked up on everything you might forget, and the ice cream hit the spot! We did a lot of cooking over the campfire, but breakfast was great with the oven/stovetop and provided pots/pans/etc. We hope to be back soon & often! 🏕️

SPOTLESS! if clean makes you happy, this place will make you delirious with joy! Friendly and warm staff make you feel like their family. They were welcoming and available to chat. The hot tubs are sparkling clean and well maintained, and oh so perfect for our crisp fall weekend. The cabins are close together, but they are oriented so you cant even tell if there are people on either side of you. It was very quiet, and we enjoyed their community camp fire a few nights and also borrowed a few of their movies that we took back to watch. Situated in the heart of the "fun zone" in the PA wilds, the only thing we lacked was time to fit in everything we wanted to do. The fall foliage provided a perfect backdrop for our kinzua sky walk, and the hiking we chose, and the zoo at Farmers Inn. We will definitely be back to this jem of a campground!

I was unsure about this campground when I was handed a key to the bathroom but things took off from there. Having camped at many places over the years I can tell you that these sites are HUGE!! We did not get to try the pool and did take a look at the cabins from the outside but seeing how their bathrooms are, I would imagine they are immaculate! We'll definitely be coming here again. (If you're interested about why the bathroom keys like I was - Got to talking with some other campers that have been there multiple times and I was told that they used to be open and operated on an honor system with the locals, mostly hunters from what I understand, for $2/shower. Short story shorter, it was abused so they stopped it entirely with the key system)
