This place is such a nice place! Very tranquil, very country, and very very nice fishing! There are paths here and a good size small lake stocked with bass, crape, catfish, and an assortment of other fish for the avid outdoorsman/woman. Plus there is a rope swing, a fooseball table and a ping-pong table, and all sorts of board games for kids. Very nice!

This home and property are truly a home away from home. Was nice to relax and breathe in some fresh country air. We fished, explored and rested better than we had in a really long time. It’s also pretty close to town if you want to walk along the river, shop or grab a bite.

Do yourself a favor and stay here!

We were looking for a break from the city and we certainly did get that and more from this place. From the moment we laid eyes on it we knew it was exactly what we needed to unplug for a long weekend. The property is so serene and private- with a large pond, woods, a creek, even an old farm to explore. The house was charming and nostalgic. We were so comfy with everything we could have needed. We were celebrating our anniversary and there was even a card and sparkling juice there from the host… perfect touch! Homestead has endless games for inside and out. There were also loads of movies for kids of all ages. The pond is more like a lake with a paddle boat, so fun! Up on the huge porch was all the fishing gear you need to catch bluegill and crappie, which we did! The bed and sheets we slept on were really comfortable, fan in the bedroom as well! Coffee maker, pots and pans, even some snacks that we sure did appreciate. We didn’t want to leave! Such a lovely place to unwind, unplug...

Me and my son had an amazing time! We caught Monster bass and some good size bluegill. We went for catfish but they kept taking our bait. The house is awesome and we saw amazing views of the sunset. We had a fun time and would definitely recommend to come and stay a night or two. The dock was fun to fish off and we took the paddle boat out once and it was fun to ride. We heard many birds and saw cows across the pond, there were some quite a bit of bugs so I recommend wearing spray. The garage with all the games were really cool and we love how they decorated it and what they had. We had an amazing time and are definitely coming back...

Have been to the Homestead many times. It's a quiet get a way. If you love the country then this is the place. Lots of woods to explore and enjoyed seeing the cows. The house is country quaint with plenty of space. The kitchen has everything you need for big family dinners. We always eat in. Shirley was gracious and very knowledgeable of things to see and do in the area, although there is plenty to do in Grafton. Shopping, wineries,...
