JOSHUA TREE VACATIONS — Hotel in Joshua Tree

This trip, we were visiting as a family of four to see Joshua Tree NP. This charmingly rustic home (Homestead Cabin) is located less than 15 minutes from entrance to JT NP. 10 minutes from village of JT (with many great restaurants and interesting shops). Yet feels far off the grid and away from civilization. Only wish we could have stayed for longer. Perfect place to unwind and relax. All the amenities you would want (kitchen, grill, fire pit, great enclosed/private yard that flows with the house, fast wifi if you want to connect to society. There are many outdoor seating areas under front porch/back porch/out under the open skies. Hot tub is a huge bonus -- works easily and very hot. We were here in February and it was snowing during our stay so nice hot tub weather! Perfectly shaped mature Joshua Tree in the back yard is great to look at from the hot tub, too! No light pollution, so great view of the pitch black night skies. Owners are very responsive and want to do whatever possible to make your stay flawless, enjoyable and memorable. After years of coming to Palm Springs and staying in hotels, we decided to try Airbnb in the desert for the first time and chose Leafe and Kat’s amazing home. It surpassed our expectations from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was beautifully stocked and had everything we needed. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. Bathrooms were well appointed. The pool and hot tub were a dream as was the gorgeous and peaceful backyard. Like an oasis. And the front yard, with its herb garden, was an added plus. Leafe and Kat are wonderful hosts. Responsive and helpful. Their house manual laid everything out perfectly for us and their suggestions of places to eat at and things to do were very much appreciated. We were actually having such a great time that we asked and were able to extend our stay two more days. This was our best trip to the desert and one of our nicest getaways ever! Just returned from a glorious week staying at their Palm Springs rental! The house is serene and beautifully appointed. Has all the amenities (and then some) that travelers would/could be looking for to make their stay comfortable and homey. We loved the welcome "FaceTime check-in" on our 1st night and the effort that Leafe & Katherine took during our stay to message us with suggestions for activities and favorite spots to eat/hang out. The house is in a great location with a gorgeous mountain view and easy access to all of the places we chose to visit in Palm Springs and beyond. The neighborhood is quiet and provided the perfect backdrop for us to enjoy this home away from home in the desert.
