Sacred Sands is such a great find! The entire property has been incredibly well thought out. It’s such a perfect blend of outdoor and indoor use of space. The common areas include an outdoor courtyard where it is large enough to host an intimate event or you can use it to practice yoga, meditate, etc. to gorgeous views of the desert and surrounding mountainous terrain. Be sure to bring your yoga matt.

There’s the common area hall/room with a working fireplace (love the fireplace), comfy chairs and seating space with a large dining table. We were here during Covid so nobody else was using this room except for us. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. In addition to each room’s private backyards there’s a common area backyard with a fire pit that’s perfect for stargazing. Do bring your own plates and cutlery especially during covid since dining out isn’t really an option.

There are two guest rooms — Onyx and Jade rooms. Each has its own fully enclosed backyard space with an outdoor tub, bed, and a shower. The Onyx room’s outdoor space is slightly larger with a sitting area. The details are spot on! By the outdoor tub is a metal latch that opens up into a window where you can enjoy the sunset as you sip on wine and enjoy a soak after a long day of hiking.

Their showers are amazing! Words cannot explain the multiple shower heads and jets that complete this spa-like shower. I am very selective with personal care products and typically do not care for toiletries even at the highest end hotels, but the products at Sacred Sands were very nice. I ended up using their toiletries instead of my own that I brought.

Our hosts were very accommodating. We were able to book the Onyx room for 2 nights out of our 3 night stay because another guest had reserved the room prior to our booking so we reserved the Jade for our last evening. Our itinerary had us out in the park when we’d have to make the transition so the property owner offered to help move our luggage to the Jade Room while we were out on our excursions. The experience was completely seamless.

Also, they are very eco conscious. Even their trash bags are biodegradable. There are so many great things about Sacred Sands I could go on forever.

If you’re looking for a romantic place that is just minutes away from the main entrance of Joshua Tree and offers an incredibly zen atmosphere, Sacred Sands...

4.5 stars. I stayed here with a friend back In July for two nights. I had never heard of this place and thought I got “stuck with the last resort” as I ran out of houses to book due to not planning ahead. But I was pleasantly surprised at how cool this place was.||There are only two units so it’s perfect in the time of social distancing. That said, be prepared to be somewhat isolated. I initially planned on traveling by myself but was joined by a friend at the last-minute, which was a blessing. Otherwise, I would have felt a little uneasy being all by my lonesome in this house in the middle of nowhere. ||Rooms are adequately-sized and has all of the amenities of a rental that you would need. If they don’t have it, you can just contact the owners to ask for something. ||The shared spaces are also really neat and photo-worthy. I love the unit’s outdoor tub and bed and general space, and once you see it, you’ll definitely recognize it from some photoshoots or Instagram.||The weekend we were there was an amazing time to see the heavens (between Neowise and six planets aligning). I loved being able to just stay on the outdoor bed, drink wine, and stargaze. The main purpose of my trip was to reflect and bond with my friend, and SS helped make that happen.||Would...

Under the vast canvas of Joshua Tree's starlit sky, we had the honor of crafting a culinary symphony at this beautiful wedding held at the enchanting Sacred Sands. From the sizzle of Pollo Asado to the succulence of Mahi Mahi Tacos, each bite was a celebration of love and flavor.
