I stayed at Riddle's Fishing lodge in June for five nights and I can confidently say that this place offers one of the most exceptional experiences I've ever had. The true heart of the lodge is the incredible host, Brittany Harding, who goes above and beyond to make every guest feel right at home.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that her dedication to hospitality was unmatched. She works tirelessly from 4 AM until 11 PM, ensuring that every need is met and that every guest is comfortable. Whether it's helping with early morning fishing preparation or making sure there is a beverage in hand when coming off the water. Brittany makes sure it is as stress free and relaxing as possible. She has a way of making you feel truly cared for.
The cabins are beautifully decorated with a modern lodge vibe that strikes the perfect balance between Alaska rustic charm and contemporary comfort. Every detail, from the furniture to the decor, feels thoughtfully chosen, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home.
One of the highlights of the lodge is the warm, covered patio over-looking the magnificent Kenai River. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of fishing. Whether you'r enjoying your morning coffee or an evening cocktail, the patio offers an unbeatable view and a peaceful ambiance.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be treated like family, enjoy a cozy, stylish retreat, and relax by the river, look no further than Riddle's Fishing Lodge. I can't recommend this place enough, and I can't...
Read moreJust got back from a fishing trip in Alaska with my brother; a friend recommended that we stay at Riddle’s Fishing Lodge on the Kenai River just outside of Kenai. What a great recommendation, we loved it. Riddle’s sits above a stretch of the river that produces great King salmons and sockeyes (Reds) fishing. Ross Harding, who along with his wife Kim own Riddle’s, is a native Alaskan with a great personality and an excellent guide; Kim is a “do anything for you” kind of host (and great looking which never hurts). The fishing was great, but the hospitality was even better. Nothing like sitting on the deck overlooking the river watching fishermen across the river catching Reds, watching the seals play in the river, seeing an occasional bear come to the river for a meal or sitting around the evening fire sharing stories and friendship with their other (very interesting) guests and seeing an occasional caribou come walking around the house. Accommodations are very clean and comfortable. The bad part of staying at Riddle’s was that you never wanted to go to bed. They also arranged our halibut trip (caught a 75 pounder and saw a pod of orca), recommended other things to see and great places to eat. We will definitely try to get back to Riddle’s. Riddle’s is very popular and you need to book...

My family and I recently spent the better part of a week enjoying the lodge and its exceptional staff. We had the opportunity to stay in the Fisherman’s Quarters, which featured a single bedroom with plenty of space and a comfortable king bed. The living room also contained a Queen and Twin bunk style bed which my child certainly enjoyed, large flat screen TV with Roku for late night entertainment, and a love seat and lazyboy to relax in. The quarters featured a full kitchen with fridge, oven, gas range, and all the amenities one could need during an extended stay. The common areas with a spacious deck overlooking a prime fishing hole on the river, campfire with ample seating, and the outdoor cooking and dining area may have been the real gem. Each morning we enjoyed a variety of scratch made breakfast items courtesy of our host. And each evening was spent around the campfire with friends and family swapping stories and sharing great meals and lots of cold drinks. The staff is warm, attentive, and constantly in search of a way to make your stay even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond. Thank you Riddle’s Lodge for making this week an absolutely amazing experience. We can’t wait...
