Have a reservation this weekend for my birthday. Paid with my credit card, it got lost. Called to get information to see if they could run card through before I call and cancel it. Per their policy they can't run it through. Cool that's fine. I respect policy can't cancelled get a refund unless it's 7 days notice. Cool that's fine. Anyways so two days before my reservation. I get a call from the lady at the front saying that they're going to have to cancel it. (I said I'd call if I have to cancel it) I say no I'm going to show up and pay y'all. It's my birthday lol. She says we'll I'm not going to cancel it. But the owner might not want to let me do that, shes going to want me to cancel it. I say well tf that's pretty messed up. They said that it was a risk of my credit card not going thrpugj. (It was charged weeks ago) anyways I'm at work and can't be on my phone while I'm talking to this very polite lady that's just doing her job. Anyways it bugs me while I'm at work I can't concentrate. This is my birthday I'm planning, you only turn 25 once. I call and the OWNER ANSWERS & HAS HORRILBLE RUDE TONE. BITTER SOUNSING WOMAN. She says are you going to come? OVER AND OVER AGAIN INTERRUPTING ME. Super rudely. I'm spending money here. Had an inconvenience and to get treated awful by the owner. Over the phone. Not looking forward to my little get away. I hope corporate sees this. Every one else was nice. Your owner is the one with customer...
Read moreWe stayed in the deluxe cabin. It's a small park model with a queen bed, and bunk beds. It sits behind the main camp area and store. There is a kitchenette with a stove top but no oven and a decent sized bath room. The camp ground is off a fairly busy rd but that wasn't an issue for us. The camp ground is small and sits right in front of a trailer park. However, the trailer park was well maintained and quiet. The cabin itself, while basically sitting at the front of the trailer park is situated and landscaped in such a way that it feels very private, and the view from the porch is really nice.
The staff was very nice and helpful. There is wifi, but I wouldn't try to use it to stream movies or for gaming. There is a pool. It's tiny, but clean and well maintained. We had a blast splashing around. The only issues we had were things being broken. There is a bare bones playground. It has a swing set, monkey bars, merry go round and plastic play set. The merry go round was broken and that was the one thing my child really wanted to play on. Also the gas station was out of order. Not a huge deal, but I would have gassed up there if available.
I would recommend this camp ground as a good base of operations while doing other things in the area. We were here for a family reunion and it was great to come back and...
